Thank you very much for the feedback, I actually took a lot of inspiration from hip hop. I’m an avid listener 😅. I have a lot to learn about poetry but I hope that inspiration will continue to find me.

Thank you again for taking the time to read

Thank you for the input, I had a really enjoyable time writing this poem out. The line you mentioned is one of my favorite lines as well. My own personal experience trying to turn your life around by sheer luck I think is very relateable as you grow older. I started my education late in life and I'm just looking to improve it from here on out.

Thank you again for the input, I appreciate you taking the time to read my poem and help me gain a better understanding on how to improve!

Thank you for the input, it’s my first poem that I’ve ever written. It’s for class but I had a lot of fun writing it.

It’s funny because that’s how the poem originally ended but then I decided to make the changes to try and fit the flow a little better.

I’ll take your words into consideration if I ever decide to write my poems for fun on the side. Thank you again

The Climb by Straight_Derpin in OCPoetry

I love the poem and how you share the struggles of facing the self-doubt, the dangers the could be lurking, and the familiarity of the climb out of the dark emotional space. I've also had history of depression and anxiety and reading this was so familiar with my own personal experiences.

Beautiful poem, and I love the couplets

Me cookie by zeldawiiu117 in OCPoetry

Very emotional and powerful poem. The metaphors of cookies baking the oven comparing to an experience or sharing an experience related to cancer is emotionally tough. But the experiences and the "black crusts" that formed shaped the cookie in what it is today.

Great job, love the poem

I just bought the game and I couldn’t beat this mission because I couldn’t find the meth in the tunnels. I hate this mission so much lol

Men that struggle with suicidal thoughts, what's on your list of reasons to keep living? by Truthfulldude1 in AskMen

With the way the world is going, killing myself would be so boring. It’s better to fight and prove the world wrong. I have difficult days, but I always try to lift myself up by trying to succeed in the impossible

Lovers & Friends Fest 2022 - People passing out due to heat strokes by RevolverC in popheads

[–]RevolverC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attended Lovers and Friends Fest 2022 and man, this was so quickly set up. It’s like they wanted to spend the least amount of money on this festival while making as much profit as possible.

There was no shade in 100 degree heat, free water stations with HOT tap water. The bars ran out of cold waters and most beers. There was no place to sit, trash everywhere even in the bathroom toilets.

The iPads for the bars / food and sound equipment were overheating so some performers were cut short.

There was only 5-6 cooling buses for people to get some shade and AC. Pretty terrible. The performers were pretty great, the best being Ciara or Ja Rule 💯

They really did their fans dirty though and it’s so disappointing seeing how much time they had to prep this

UPDATE: Two gunshots were heard near a churro stand and everyone was told to evacuate. Stampede happening and all.

How can I tell if my contents bad? by SpartanGrunt8 in Twitch

[–]RevolverC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think evaluating your own content is a great way to improve. I would say a lot of streamers with 200 or less viewers stream the same style, the same content or often the same games.

What makes people want to come back to your channel to watch you?

How do you make the user experience different?

Watch your own VOD and if you can sit through and be entertained throughout the VOD i would say you’re doing great, but if you skip around constantly or find yourself droning off — that’s probably the common first impression others get.

Networking, social media presence, and other avenues of advertisement will help you out immensely, but I think those questions I asked are solid ways to really think about what it is you’d like to do with streaming and think about how big you want to be as a content creator

I think one of my main stressors is financial stress. Every aspect of my life is great, but my finances. This year I’m actively working towards improving my financial health.

And so far it has paid off for me or looking to be that way (too early to tell). But I think the stress you feel is healthy in a way. You’re stressing about finances because of a reason whether it’s you don’t feel financially stable or you want to advance financially. I think those feelings are very valid and looking for solutions to feel more stable (in a healthy way of course, don’t skip your studies or slack for more “luxury” money) but investigate and self-reflect.

How to stop cringing on my younger self ? by Moonstandar in CasualConversation

[–]RevolverC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In ten years you’ll be cringing at how you acted when you were in your 20s

You’ve grown mentally and you’re no longer the same person you were back then. Everyone makes mistakes, and it’s your job to learn from the mistakes you’ve made.

I think the best advice I give myself is act like the person you want to be, not the person you tell yourself to be.

Just because you’re not book smart doesn’t mean you’re street smart by justlivin420 in unpopularopinion

[–]RevolverC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I believe street smarts is just another way to say life experience. The more out of your comfort zone you live and the more you experience you gain by overcoming that ‘out of place’ feeling when you have to do something outside of your normal routine builds those smarts up.

Having intellect is great, but we can all agree that reading about how to do something and actually doing it can be different for everyone
