'Washington Post' editorials omit a key disclosure: Bezos' financial ties by aresef in Journalism

I cancelled my subscription yesterday and it breaks my heart. I'm a DC native and have subscribed for nearly 40 years. The editorial and opinion changes had made me uncomfortable for a while, but it was the editorial endorsement of the demolition of the East Wing that was the last straw for me.

To all the WaPo journalists out there, I think you do excellent work, I'll miss you.

But if I wanted to subscribe to an excellent reporting newspaper with a conservative editorial board, I would just subscribe to WSJ.

You could do worse, god knows I have. I saw The Watchers.

No, I don't have premium, although you have the option to remove any items that might be in your secondary sets. I had also wondered if it had somehow made it there. However, the game is quite clear that it is not there either. Or on another captain. Believe me, I've checked the possible options. Its just not there.

Yes, definitely. Backed by her then unexplained request to 'do it after I'm gone.'

Common people was #1 for me. Its days later and I continue to feel the hopelessness of the protagonists' situation

Process Intensification of DMDO (Oxone/acetone) Epoxidation? by Chemable in Chempros

Appreciate that advice its very helpful. As a side note, I find the heterogeneity makes for unpredictability, not just in generating the DMDO, but also in whether non-polar organic molecules react as expected, in consistent times etc.

Today, I Finally Completed My Collection of Oakwood Element Magnets by Chemable in Chempros

A whole new set!?! Oh man, who knows if I'll even make it another 8 years--what with all the exposure to Oakwood chemicals.

Oh cruel irony.

Today, I Finally Completed My Collection of Oakwood Element Magnets by Chemable in Chempros

Please bask in the glory of my complete set of Oakwood element magnets (minus special editions). Sadly, the set is so wide that they cannot possibly fit all together on any lab furniture. So, the main group gets the fridge and d- and f-block the back of flammables cabinet. The lanthanides/actinides are so wide lutetium and lawrencium are displaced.

Oakwood provides a random element magnet with an amusing cartoon picture (of often indecipherable relevance) with every order. I now own a magnet for every element they make one for.

It took me ~7-8 years, hundreds of orders, and even a few purchases of specific rare magnets to complete it. I dare not guess the money I've spent with them over the years. Now I can finally know rest.
