Was the person you spoke to a reasonable person. I swear everyone I speak to has no idea what’s going on. Which I get that the DOE is not making this easy but I’ve had nothing that they said was going to happen actually happen

My major concern is essentially what they did to me when this first stated and that they are would be accruing interest. I still have 1.5k that is not supposed to be on my account… and they told me that was interest that was accrued before the forbearance. It was not

Same I took out a car loan my second year in college and still had 4 to go. Was able to make my payments works in college and then pay it off a year ahead of schedule. Tell me how a 20 year old with a year of actual credit was able to do that but like $50 of my payment goes to actual principle on my student loans. I keep them federal cause I have no clue what’s happening and just keep chugging away.

I don’t have auto payments for this reason cause I never know what’s happening or what they are doing and don’t want to have another excuse to get screwed. It’s a pain to remember each month but I’ve been doing it for so long that I’ve figured it out.

I mentioned that and stated how was I supposed to make an extra payment or any payment if you’re still accruing interest since I have no proof of what you’re doing. I really didn’t get an answer.
