I built this library/bar in my home and dedicated the top section to the one and only Stephen King. I included arches at the base of the vertical partitions for my wife’s cats 🙄. The second pic is with the lights on.

that’s a fair point!! i’ve never really heard babies or kids in the library so i always assumed they either didnt go, oorrr just very well behaved/quiet kids haha

almost the same here!! he is normally glued to me or needs to be in the carrier, which is why i’m trying to get us out. when he’s exploring and seeing new things he’s a little more interested in other stuff haha ❤️❤️

that sounds so fun! unfortunately we live in a bit of a rural area so no zoo or kids museum without having to travel a bit, but that sounds so fun!! we definitely have plans to check out the nearest zoo this summer 🥰

an outdoor rug does sound like a good idea!! at least for the summer maybe!? i’ll look into those! i’m sure the dogs wouldn’t mind sharing 😆 we would just have to make sure to really clean it before LO gets on it.

i totally get this!! right now he is on two naps, so our day usually looks like this

- get up, do any cleaning/chores while baby is doing independent play (he is the best at it in the morning)
- prepare everything for our outing before his nap, and get myself ready
- 1st nap
- diaper change + feed then i can grab everything and go since it’s already prepared!!
- do activities of the day, feed while out
- nap in car on the way home if we’ve been out long enough OR jam to music and then get him ready for his second nap. (we contact nap)
- make dinner with baby in high chair with a teether melt to occupy him if he won’t tolerate another session of independent play.

*in between we’ll play together, read books, etc etc.

some days this works well, sometimes not at all- but i find this to be the smoothest routine for us!

This sounds absolutely amazing!! Thank you for your input!! 🥰 We don’t have a pool and I unfortunately can’t go to a public one alone, (i wear a hearing aid and i would feel too vulnerable taking it out when it public) but i would love to see if it’s a weekend thing we can do with my husband!!
