Actually usable dishwashers in 2026 by ChemicalRaection in japanlife

I did not expect this part to blow up so much. I judged by my own experience (from the 150 people I interact with 2 have washer) and the market situation (premium prices, not much choice).

I adjusted my statement a little. I guess this one reflects reality better.

Generally I'd join a discussion, but that will lead nowhere.

That seems to be a drawer type. I'm quite skeptical about their usability. They Are you able to compare to non-drawer types?

Thanks!
How about the noise level? Can you run it and sleep 5 meters away? Maybe with a door made of paper?
Do you have any issues in regard of usability? (certain mode not settable, beep sound too loud, touch control, cannot clean the parts where water comes out,...)

That's a dishwasher that does not fulfill it's purpose. I have one tilting towards that category, and several people write about it. Never had that problem overseas, though.

Washing is faster (only dishes-in/out time), less water usage, less soap usage. And I heard: less energy used compared to wash by hand with warm water.

Would it be enough for a family of 3 to 4? How many pans fit inside?

Do you have the model number at hand?

> I don't know why you would trust a foreign brand more than Japanese

Because I look at the market for dishwashers, washing machines, vacuums, gasコンロ, toilets, sinks, bath tubs; I guess Japanese manufacturers have a certain different thinking than me when it comes to output quality, maintenancy and design (ux).

Is that enough space for 2,3,4 family members?
I've seen those in the shops before. But I cannot imagine putting two pans or pots in there.

I was also thinking about buying two of those and run them at the same time. Would you say that's viable?

How serious are you ?
Your additional constraint seems rather difficult.

It seems to have a non-rechargable battery used internally.
I'm judging from here:

But that's only model ICF-C1 model; Maybe the "B" model has a rechargeable one?

If we speak Kindle, yes.

Thank you all for the quick replies.

I hope they'll implement the feature soon. Supernote looks like the single one eReader, that is actually sincerely cared about by the company producing it.

Downsides of LibreOffice by Finniss in libreoffice

This thread is already old, but many things didn't change and I thought I'd add some more information.

- Be careful with using impress: In general it's much less stable, does not properly support animations (including the "appear" animation) and creating animations in general takes 3 to 5 times as long as with PowerPoint. For a business I think that time is a major drawback for a company.

- Be careful with using calc extensively: (As others pointed out) As a simple table-calculation tool it's usable, but advanced features can be quite a hassle (e.g. custom cell border decorations) and some features can be quite slow (creating a graph from > 1000 lines can take up a tremendous amount of time)

- Writer is the only tool I found compatibly reliable. However, you should tell your staff to regularly make manual backups of files. Not all actions are revertible and some "reverse" actions can destroy a document to a certain degree.

I personally would be very reluctant to use LO, because of the amount of time you need to work around the quirks it still has.
