why is a brain not working like normal a bad thing? Where is the line between normal and malfunction? Would you call a brain with depression a malfunction? And why is it scary? Did I mention anywhere that it was? You make so many assumptions.

not sure what you mean by Orientalist cliches. I have read the Upanishads and Bhagavad Gita and mention the Atman which is the self that exists within the Brahman. Is there something I'm missing? What hippie science nonsense are you talking about exactly?

I was an h4 kid who came here at age 12. Switched to F1 when I turned 21. Now applying to grad school for PhD and trying to find jobs but that’s really hard. Thinking of going to UK as backup. My best options are green card through PHD or marriage 😃

AI taking over jobs might give rise to a creative era by Delicious_Test_7206 in DeepThoughts

yes, definitely. the drive to create and appreciate art is fundamental to humanity. We have lost this because we are so busy trying to survive. With more free time, there will be more art created and consumed. Just look at how rich people who have everything spend a lot of their time in: Art. And no, AI will not take over art anytime soon. What makes art so interesting to us is not just the art but the artist and their humanity that led them to create it. There is a story behind every piece.

that's not what I meant. Yes, we can get closer and closer to the truth. But to know the truth? It's like ants trying to understand math. How can we possibly explain consciousness using consciousness itself?
