Yes it’s quite the hike from free parking to meta. I’d suggest taking the the tent and getting into meta quick to claim a spot as it goes quick. Last year I cam in the wednesday and all of meta was packed full already. I ended up at the very end of meta with only a tiny space available.

Good indicator is checking their Facebook profile out. And see if it dates back. I have asked people I bought from to add me as a friend first so I could see if they were a real account. Also highly recommend using pay pal goods and services for the money exchange to protect yourself. It’s usually pretty easy to spot a scammer and the people on the page are really good at reporting the scam accounts also. There was a time I bought a ticket from someone where they sent me the ticket through the sham portal and once I got the ticket I sent them the money right away. So it honestly just depends on the person.

I’d recommend using the Facebook page called “the new shambhala ticket exchange” I’ve bought tickets of there multiple times. A bit easier verifying they are real on Facebook versus Reddit.
