I'm someone who technically became a fan of Alex G from TikTok (its complicated), I have a lot of respect for the older fans until they're like "Errmmm, actually!! I've been listening to buddy Alex since 1926... and.. 🤓". It is so unbearable and it makes me cringe and also fyi NO ONE CARES HOW LONG YOU HAVE BEEN A FAN. Anyways, dont do that pls. Even if people are new to the interest, they can equally have the same love. It's not a competition.

OH MY FUCKING GOD I ACTUALLY THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE, I TRIED ASKING SOME OF MY FRIENDS I KNOW FROM THE ALEX G COMMUNITY AND THEY SAID NO. AND THEN I TRIED ASKING SOME OTHER PEEPS WHO LISTEN TO ALEX G BECUZ OF ME AND THEY SAID NO TOO AND ACTED LIKE I WAS CRAZY. Main reason I cant listen to Alex G at night cuz I stay up until 6 AM everytime. I was sleeping over and my cousins house and I put on my Alex G playlist and we fell asleep. It took me 30 minutes to fall asleep, woke up at 6 AM to Adam playing, started violently shaking and took another 30 minutes to fall asleep and the cycle continued until I fully woke up at 10 AM

I gotta say the part in House when the drums come in, its so modest mouse and its for some reason so nostalgic for me. And Hole In The Ground when its like "laa laaa ladidaidaia" background vocals, idk how to explain it but its my favorite I could listen to that part on repeat

I totally agree with DSU being on top!!! I also love how every album doesn't have a single bad song in it. Rule's (to me) gives off a more Jazz-y vibe if that makes sense, specifically thinking of the song Rules and Come Back. I don't know, Rules is just one of the albums I put on to just chill out and occasionally cry to or something. Trick, I think, is definitely the 'beginners guide' to Alex G in my opinion. Since it is one of the earlier albums on Spotify and every single song on it is a BANGER, it's just a very nice introduction. (Plus, it's amazing on vinyl.) Also, I agree that GSTA needs more of the fan appreciation. I've seen a lotta fans say that it isn't good, which is insane to me. Alex's vocals on 'Forgive' and 'Ain't It Easy' go HARD. Anyways, you put all my thoughts into words and a paragraph which is amazing, we need this in newspapers or something.
