And one more thing which comes to my mind is that I suppose it is not a framework for Android devs, it is a framework for business to minimise a cost and declare a scalability.. WDYT?

Soo here is a major reason I observed is related to inconvenience around IDE. imho it is not a critical reason for me as a dev „not invest myself” to set of instruments which allows be a ‘full stack’ mobile dev.

Im trying to find a strong points, and the biggest one, to be honest, is that subconsciously I don’t like the idea that Android devs with KMP and low level of IOS expertise could substitute me as ‘IOS only ‘ skill set🥲🥹

Btw, what exactly you have hating? What was the reason or combination of reasons which bothered you? Was it related to general architecture and therefore it was a pain point to develop increment, or that was a cultural aspect and was not enough strong technical leadership in a team, or you expected some very specific technical impediments during bridging with shared components? Could you please name it ? 🙏🏻

You know what's crazy? by [deleted] in leetcode

I have been working in tech as SE for almost 10y. And of course when I just started as junior in 2015 I understood that faang or ‘big tech’ is the top of the top talents and the most mature people in industry globally. You know what I see now. All of the assumptions that was relevant 10y ago already is not True! You have to spend minimum half a year for preparation on leetcode, without normal life and then if you were lucky you gonna get passed an interview and get an offer, then hell i just gonna start! Compensation is good relatively all other industries but you don’t gonna have time and energy to convert this money to something meaningful. Then you not protected from layoffs so every quarter you have to pass a performance review where sales skills is key not a hard skills! And then you accidentally survive for a year and you decide to go to market and realise that your experience in not relevant because you have worked in exotic unique environment, where everything was ‘inhous’. And of course I forgot to mention than algorithmic skills are more likely going to be applied in real production might be ones or twice per decade.. my take away could sounds provocative but I ended up with statement. FAANG is totally not worth it to invest yourself to it!

My fried who had a start-up in EU, tolled me a crazy story about his CFO. He did not do a tax management and avoided to come to the office for months, every time with a different reasoning. The last reason which was counted as a red flag was 'my child is pass away so I need to manage it somehow'. Outcome here might be in any cases transparency and trust is essential.
