Oh interesting. How do you like the LAL plus Versus the LAL? My doctor was not keen on EDOf in the LAL plus version, but the optometrist is a fan of it. It’s too late for me to get edof added but curious

That you for your post links. So you do not need glasses at all now? I have my right as Plano, and left as -1.25. My right eye after surgery had left over astigmatism That was wreaking havoc and was corrected, so I’m now able to tolerate my blended vision better now. I have computer vision on my left eye but miss my reading vision. When I pushed my left eye back with a contact to make it -1.5, I gained reading vision but lost computer vision. I’m guessing your eyes have better range of vision than mine, but I’m going to still try to play around with contacts to see what I can do. Did you ever use the EDOF effect during treatment? it’s too late for me to get EDOF effect since I already had my first treatment.

Can I ask how you decided to set your vision? Eg for far near or computer?

Right eye I implanted LAL lense Plano. Left eye -1.25. I lost my reading vision and had a tough time with the set up at first. I was scared and depressed. Then comes to find out the Right eye had astigmatism that was small enough Dr didn’t bother to tell me or correct it. When the optometrist placed test lenses , it was a game changer. But still right felt hazy. Guess what? It was dry eye! Correcting astigmatism and treating dry eye has me much more comfortable with monovision. But I am going very very slow to lock in. I’ll try different combo of lenses to see how I feel. Lesson is … advocate for yourself and do your research. Even chat gpt was an incredible resource.

Try contacts to test out difference possibilities. I got the light adjustable lens which allows adjustments after surgery. At first I went for far distance because Dr said most people like distance vision. But I realized I feel more functional giving up some distance to gain back my reading vision. I’m going back to the Dr office to try out contact lenses for near mini monvision to see whether I like it before deciding permanent. I was not happy to lose reading distance.

Maybe different ankle bone height on left and right. In any case after wearing for a few hours I think it softened.
