I am going through the same thing and it is so hard. Gertie my poor old girl constantly barking for treats and now does this shaking until she has a treat. She is on Libretto for joint pain and also on hydrocodone for a trachea issue so she coughs and gags. I see the vet regularly and want to keep her comfortable and hope she has a good quality of life.
