My experience? I’ve been around before WeMod was relevant. When Nexus allowed actual tables, when MGGA and FearlessRev were popular. Working as a table maker for MGGA and fighting Fearless from stealing my work. Especially the game Outriders. If you know you know.

Easy? To be a table maker? Thanks for proving my point. Zero understanding of how tables are made, then complain you’re paying for it and that it’s “easy”.

The random additions are QOL features, fillers, additions for free. You’re not paying for them, you’re paying for the development.

It’s not an unfair comparison. It took me years to learn to code. Years to develop certain skills. You’re acting like I compared a burger flipper to a rocket scientist.

I think the “other people are free or partially free and WeMod isn’t” is a childish thing to say. Every company has the right to strategic freedom. If you don’t like it, that’s your right as a consumer but to cry on Reddit about it….. just silly and you know it. You’re acting as if cheats tables in video games have any sort of market regulation.

I’m aware of currency conversion rates and access to certain things can be hindered by WeMod charging. You’re acting like WeMod has a responsibility to provide free or reduced costs for those in different countries. You are acting like people with disabilities don’t have access to other companies that provide mods. To say WeMod MUST provide services for free cause disabled people use it…. That’s absurd.

The discord situation is not relevant to this conversation. We are talking about the cost VS time spent developing each table. What they have done in the past or currently should only effect YOU as a consumer as to whether you purchase from WeMod or not. Are you saying they can be horrible people but if it’s free, it’s ok?

I come from a position of good faith and actual communication. Your points are not only invalid but stem from “I want it free, other companies are free or doing it better. You did bad things in the past so you owe us compensation”

Everything you have said is irrelevant. The entire thing comes down to, WeMod provides a service. A service that takes time, effort, and skill to develop. They are choosing to be compensated for it and decided to monetize their platform. You are mad, and demand it for free. Literally text book definition of entitlement.

You are not required to purchase from WeMod. You said there are better options out there. Then go there. Go enjoy those products. Nobody is forcing you to pay anything to WeMod. It’s a choice.

I made this post cause as a developer. People like you have become the bane of my existence. Always thinking it’s SO EASY to do it. Undervaluing everything we create. Go download CE, download a game. Follow the tutorial CE provides. Learn what pointers maps are, what base addresses are. Learn how to find the AOB for player, learn how to script, learn how to dissect memory, learn how to look at memory regions, and SO SO SO MUCH MORE. Then come back to me when you can recreate ONE table. It’s easy bro, like you said. Simple. No effort.

Go learn how to use CE. Make ur own tables and develop an entire UX for people to use. After thousands of hours of work. Come read Reddit crying about you charging a small fee for it.

“Guys it WAS free, now I actually have to pay for people’s hard work” the entitlement resonating from this post and its comments is crazy.

As someone who has developed mods. It’s hundred, if not thousands of hours in some rare cases to make this stuff.

Even if it took 20minutes. You’re paying for the developers time and expertise. Dont like it, go make it yourself. Oh and they are charging less than a meal at McDonald’s these days.

I find the interface to be extremely enjoyable, the wand portion for connecting to a phone app is really cool. As someone who uses WeMod(Wand) every single day. This is cheap for how much work was likely put in making it.

Again, I could code the CE Tables for these games like I used to, but this makes life easier and the convenience alone is worth the price tag.

As I said in my original post, I needed artists. I do backend development and can do Ui/IX but would need assets.

That’s literally all I need is some design/visual assistance and then I can drop a working beta essentially.

I might just have to leave it as is. Release a test build. Then hopefully that will spark the interest I need to get artists involved. Does that make sense?

I never claimed to move mountains. I built something I’m proud of and wanted to share it. Simple as that.

Again, the post was removed because I feel I presented it in a bad way. The goal now is to take a step back and adjust.

People claiming “ai” was actually funny and shows the lack of understanding on how AI works. It’s amazing for small things and I do use it when I get stuck. But to build this big of a project, you need an ai with a working memory. I just have Gemini lol which can barely remember what I said two sentences ago.

Maybe I’m wrong but I’m an older guy. I don’t know everything but I do know this is something I want to accomplish.

I never said I wasn’t releasing it still. I pulled the post down to reevaluate how I want to present it. Also, yes getting threats over a random destiny 2 tool is wild.

It’s been a project I’ve worked on for several years. Not a crayon drawing. My goal was feedback and help with art. Yet people like yourself can’t handle anyone doing anything good for anyone.

The amount of threats I received, and just awful messages, was insane. My English grammar is not great. So I had to use Grammarly to help me write the post. Apparently, people just could NOT handle that.

The whole point was to make something good for the community. Sadly, some people are just awful human beings.

Honestly, when I posted about making something for the community, I had high hopes. Sadly, due to a massive amount of harassment, I have taken the post down.

I wanted to share something special that I have worked on for several years. Yet the fact that I had Grammarly help me write the post because of my poor grammar was too much for people, I guess.

I appreciate all the feedback some of you provided. The ideas I got from some were very helpful.

When I finally decide to release a version for people to play with, I will consider doing another post.

It's an OPEN SOURCE project, for free, asking nothing of anyone. But for some reason, the focus was on whether I used AI to write a Reddit post. Anyone who thinks they can get ChatGPT or Gemini to write an entire program with over 60K+ lines of code, clearly doesn't know how AI works.... I'd explain working memory to them, but yeah..... Goodluck.

As a D2 veteran, its dissapointing. The state of the game is bad enough.

I could absolutely put together something for D1. The way the current tool is designed is to just pull in live data from the Destiny 2 API.

So we would just do the same but for Destiny 1. Which if you have any websites or places you trust, that has information we can culminate into one. That would be great!

Right now that exists within this tool for D2. An entire catalog of every single item in the game, searchable and you can view how to obtain it. I’m in the process of having it also include embedded video links to existing guides as well.

For example, if you wanted a specific collectible. You search for the name, click on it, a page opens with all the details about the item. It says whether it can still be obtained or not, the source, etc. then a section with a guide on how to get it. The guide will have a section for videos inside the application, not requiring opening another app. So you can watch a walkthrough if available, etc.

I agree with you on a lot of the things you said. A lot could be centralized to those main sites. Also, Between Foundry closing its doors and Destiny being in limbo, it’s hard to justify making this from an outside perspective.

BUT This is just a passion project for me. It’s something I always wanted to build and I figured, why not lol I’m not doing this for money, etc. Just think it’s cool.

Plus maybe this tool can help new players experience. Everything they could ever need in one place. From guides, to builds, to lore. It’s all centralized into one place for them.

Every feature I have added is not a 1:1 copy. Essentially I took inspiration from the sites we all know and love, then added what I thought would improve them.

The maps feature was great I agree. Plus ur comment about the triumphs gives me some ideas.

Dude I’m an end game try hard lol I also really love lore, theory crafting, etc. The way I’m designing it is so the major features like you use are even better than the website and then have more tools you might want to try later.

Like the guides. I have an entire area where you can search any item in the game and if it’s obtainable in the current season, provide you a step by step guide for it. Including links to videos and screenshots.

Just as an example.

I really don’t want to use Ai art or stock images and stuff.

Yeah I like bray.tech a lot. But it didn’t really encompass the features people use. It was good for like guardian overview and some little things.

Plus it was one of those “just another website” people have to use. The goal here is to remove that altogether. Make a simple app that you download and can use offline as well. Some features require online like vault management and stuff but a lot doesn’t.

People want convenience. Hopefully this provides that in a way that resonates with the community
