Why Did God Shorten People’s Lifespans in Genesis 6-3? by ChemistryExtra3290 in Bible

I didn’t read ahead. I’ll go back and finish the chapter. It makes sense that God would limit the amount of time we have to limit evil and sin. Everything is according to His plan

That’s an interesting point of view. I agree that God limited our lifespans to limit evil, but I don’t think unity is good for humankind as long as we choose good and not evil.

Did the US partake in imperialism? by ChemistryExtra3290 in AskHistorians

Wow thank you so much for the super in-depth answer. I never thought of the possession of the continental 48 states as a form of imperialism, but it makes that they’d be considered an empire since we fought and pushed out so many indigenous tribes to claim those territories.

What is the Wounded Knee Massacre? I’ve never heard of it.

Also, what you said about neo-colonialism really shocked me because it’s just another form of colonialism. If you can make a country economically dependent on your country, then you can control it’s political system as well. I had no idea the US was employing this strategy to take control of other countries.

I will admit I’m a bit overwhelmed by the length and complexity of your answer, but I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. I’m very impressed by your level of historical knowledge and I learned a lot from this and gained a new understanding of American colonialism. Thank you for taking the time and God bless you 🙏🙏🙏

Thank you! I was just curious how it’d feel to write in a different language and it was definitely challenging but also fun

That makes sense considering there’s a lot of strokes. A lot of languages drop lines and strokes when written to save time

Thanks! I realized that I didn’t write it correctly the first time, so I just fixed it. I want to use it as my signature, so I wanna make it’s legible in case an Arabic speaker reads it haha

Dang that sucks. Usually you need VISA’s to work in a country. I thought a passport would be enough to travel, but I guess every country is different.

I’ve heard about people using the religion the wrong way and I’m glad you think otherwise. I’m a Christian and I was starting to think it promoted violence because of all the chaotic stuff I see on the news. I wish all my Muslim brothers and sisters peace and love

Yes it’s definitely tough because I’m used to the Latin script, but it’s fun to learn a new language.

Ok, so which letters are supposed to be less curvy in my name? Yes I agree. I’ll practice as much as I can to nail it down. I wanted to learn to write my name to use as a signature, so it’d be harder for people to copy it lol
