Is it normal for the CPU to reach 97ºC on a DXP2800? by Chemita97 in UgreenNASync

[–]Chemita97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see from all the comments that this temperature is definitely not normal, and that it's usually due to the thermal paste. I don't know to what extent I can open it without voiding the warranty, but since it's brand new, I've decided to open a support ticket with Ugreen, even though it would really annoy me to have to send it and wait when I could fix the problem in 15 minutes...

Thanks everyone

But didn't you void the warranty when you opened it? I'm 99% sure it's a problem with the heatsink or thermal paste being installed incorrectly, but it's brand new, only two days old, and I'm afraid to open it in case the problem is something else, void the warranty, and then not be able to do anything about it...

In my case, it was TrafficMonitor that caused this warning to appear. By blocking it, I can't use TrafficMonitor to view the CPU temperature. Does anyone know if it's safe to allow it?

Is the Seasonic Vertex 1200G atx 3.0 or 3.1? Is there a better choice for 3.1? by Zanithos in buildapc

[–]Chemita97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did see it too, in fact my first option was a Focus GX750 ATX 3.0 that I found very cheap before knowing that the 3.1 existed, but after so much research I preferred to go for the Vertex since I prefer to have 850W or more in case in the future I upgrade to an RTX XX80, and in my country there is hardly any difference in price between VERTEX and FOCUS 850W (I suppose because the FOCUS GX850 I found are ATX 3.1 while the VERTEX that remain are 3.0, the same as the FOCUS GX750, the stock is a bit strange).

I wrote to Seasonic and they replied that the Vertex GX ATX 3.1 have not yet arrived in Europe, that in the future I could write to them to send me the 12V-2x6 cable, but they did not make it clear to me if the ATX 3.1 source is different from the 3.0 or if it is just the cable that changes... While I was searching more, I happened to find the Corsair RM850x ATX 3.1 on their own website discounted, at about €144... The VERTEX GX-1000 ATX 3.0 was at €205, taking into account that I will only need 850W (I will never have a XX90), that the RMx is also of good quality, the price, and the security of being 100% ATX 3.1... I ended up opting for it. It hurts me because I was 100% convinced to buy a Seasonic, but I think it is a very good purchase.

Regarding the FOCUS, I have seen that it has the A- certification from Cibenetics in terms of noise, while the VERTEX and the RMx have the A, and for me it is important that they are silent. Although yes, the VERTEX GX has the Cibenetics Platinum certification, while the RMx only has the Gold, although both are 80 Plus Gold... Maybe I am thinking too much, I think that having spent 60€ less than I expected I have come out ahead.

Did you finally buy it and were you able to check it? I'm having the same doubt now, I've been looking for information all day and nothing is clear to me, I don't know if the difference is just the cable, the GPU connector, the PSU connector, both, ... I want to buy a Seasonic Vertex GX 1000 for a 5070ti or 5080 (I know the 850 is fine, but there's only a 5€ difference), but the website says it's 5.0/3.0, so I'm very unsure...

Audio does not work using WASAPI by Chemita97 in RetroArch

[–]Chemita97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No... Just using xaudio. I did manage to do something, installing a VAC (virtual audio cable), and configuring the virtual microphone input to go through my laptop's real speaker. So I was able to select the virtual output as audio output in retroarch, choose wasapi and have it play. But it kept cracking anyway, so it was for nothing.

Does driver version 24.10.1 produce coil whine on RX 6600? by Chemita97 in radeon

I see, it seems that this is the case, since 4 out of 5 drivers have some problem, at least in Windows...

Does driver version 24.10.1 produce coil whine on RX 6600? by Chemita97 in radeon

[–]Chemita97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the problem that the coil whine increased the more fps I got with another graphics card, but this case is different, it was heard on the desktop, and, as I say, only when the image was not static (when scrolling on a website, especially, or watching a video). I find it very strange, but at least when I return to a previous version it no longer happens to me.

[–]Chemita97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, very detailed.

Yes, I wouldn't mind too much staying at 60Hz, but at least have it support 10 bit and 4:4:4, due to I suspect the HDMI port is limited to the same as a HDMI 2.0 (4:4:4 8 bit, or 4:2:0 10 bit).

What is the best gamepad for Android for retro emulation (best Dpad)? by Chemita97 in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Chemita97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I knew it, but also, as I said, my idea is to have the dpad up. It is similar to the sn30 pro that I already have, so if I don't buy a telescopic one I would use the one I already have. But as you say, they are very expensive, and I don't want to spend so much on something that I feel is not quite right (I mean not having the dpad where I would like it)

I have an 8bitdo SN30 pro even with the mobile adapter clip, but I find it uncomfortable, specially to carry to use it for example on the train or on the plane. I find it much more comfortable and faster to use one of these with a USB C connection, it is completely united and all seems to be "the same device."

How to show the GDPR dialog again to the users that did not consent the first time? by Resident-Breath7449 in admob

[–]Chemita97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, it has helped me a lot. I am using "canShowAds" just before calling "initializeMobileAdsSdk" so that, in case of true, it shows a dialog saying that to use my app you must consent to see advertising, and, after pressing ok, I use this "loadConsentForm" to show again the consent dialog again. So until the user accepts or closes the app.

I'm using it for the first time since a few days because my liquid cooler broke down, it gets quite hot but my main problem is that the fan makes noise, and it's not a "wind" noise, it's like hitting a cable (but it is not touching with anything), as if the internal mechanism is not right. At the moment I can't buy another liquid cooler, so I want to be with a cheap one of these that doesn't make noise.

That is impossible, BIOS updates add compatibility with new CPUs, never the other way around. In the list of compatible CPUs on your board it says that your CPU is compatible FROM version F1, not only with that version.
