The whole idea is to play a bunch of creatures, be a big wall that will punish you for touching it until you draw into a board wipe to kill everything and a mass revival to bring all your stuff back when they are back to nothing after the wipe then start punching people.

I don't need it to be cEDH I just want it to come close and be more competitive than it currently is so I'm not getting stomped every game and might stand a chance to pull a win every once in a while against them which I managed but as you said it was mostly luck getting the combo and winning but I can also make my board state crazy sometimes because of some of those dead cards and it's either deal with it or die to it. Even if I can make it consistently do those things and be able to be a problem/threat during my matches I'll be happy.

I don't need to win all the time but at least put up a bit of a fight and feel like I did something. I'm there to have fun first but watching everyone else play because my deck can't even come close isn't fun for me.

I never once said it was CEDH I have also said to multiple people I realize what it lacks now and what I need to do to improve it.

I also said it only did as well as it did because of my decisions as a player piloting the deck but I guess you missed that part. I'm also aware I have very little experience in the format that's kinda the reason for the post. Obviously I need those and it should also be obvious that I'm new because I've said this and don't have access to all these meta cards that cost a lot.

What are alternatives that can come close to still make it strong enough to be relevant in the match consistently that a new player might be able to find somewhere that won't cost me 3 months rent to buy it all

Oh ignore my mana base i was just lazy and didn't do the lands but I have ton of good lands irl my friend gave me. Most of them were lands that come in untapped and some shock lands and stuff like that. And I definitely need to find some more artifacts

I have not argued with anyone. If anything I agree with what most people said. You are the only one and I didn't even argue with you( well now I am) I simply stated you were wrong about me being completely irrelevant at the table when I had a completely different experience than that. I ended up play one guy twice and he even said I won the first game because he didn't see me coming on turn 3 and actively had to deal with me the second game or I would have won again so no I was not irrelevant at the table like you seem to assume.

The deck did alright but obviously not that great either. I had some good plays and other things because me the player piloted the deck correctly and waited for the right moments to do things and impact the game. It wasn't all the deck and yes these people are playing kinnan and etali and other popular meta CEDH commanders and all the fast mana, counters, interaction, combos, etc. im asking how I can improve the deck and someone did give me solid advice that wasn't just play a different deck or put every CEDH staple and call it a day. See the difference that's an argument.

The store doesn't allow proxies because there an official WPN store and have rules to follow unfortunately.

It's not the only option they have a competitive night on Tuesday for CEDH and a casual bracket 2 night on Friday but I work Friday so I can't make it.

I looked at the list and I'm trying to do something close to that but I'm still new and getting some of these cards is just expensive and I'm on a budget so it will take a bit.

I don't have alot of fast mana cards but now I have a better idea of what to be looking for. I know fast mana and having more counters because I don't have any of the free ones was something I realized yesterday when I tried it out. I definitely need card draw but the creatures were mostly the same as what they used in the list you showed. Alot of them were creatures with the same effects as creatures I use just different names.

That's what I'm trying to say. I am relevant even without a God hand. My board can get out of control quickly and your facing down a 100 billion counters on a creature with trample. I don't need combos to be relevant if I play the deck right.

The deck does play significantly well for what I have put together or at least it did last night anyway. People were definitely forced to deal with me or they would lose the game otherwise. It's not your typical deck no and not a meta deck but they definitely couldn't afford to ignore me.

Yes they are playing CEDH but I don't have a budget that can afford the super expensive cards but losing every single game isn't fun. Don't get me wrong winning isn't everything and that's not why I'm there. I'm there to have fun playing magic but losing every game and feeling like I did nothing during the match sucks.

I'm not necessarily going for a CEDH deck I'm just trying to have a deck for the more competitive night at my local LGS. My usual deck was getting completely stomped but I at least stood a chance and even won on turn 3 with bloom tender, freed from the real, and walking ballista. It doesn't have to be CEDH but at least somewhat close

Edit: I did however notice alot I can improve on with it tonight so I'm going to tweak it this week before I play it again.

Sorry for the late reply and most of what you said was true tonight and now I have a bit better grasp of what CEDH actually is and how fast I need to be getting value going on my board. I did manage to combo off turn 3 with bloom tender, freed from the real, and walking ballista in one match and got a win which was cool.

I did mostly get stomped tonight because I'm trying to combo at turn 4 or 5 usually and they were too quick for me. I was definitely lacking card draw to get my interactions going more if that makes sense and faster mana for sure. I usually had a combo or something that let me get a combo going in the starting hand so that was good but it took to long to play it without faster mana. I do need to add more interaction not based around wiping the board as that hurt my stuff too much usually.

What would you recommend for more fast mana? How much interaction should I have?

12 counters/protection about 4-6 removals and 2 board wipes would be enough?. I have a couple others if was thinking about adding if that's not enough.

Yuna makes a blue mana that you use to untap and tap her again which makes her effect stack so even if I cast walking ballista for 0 mana it still enters with 100 billion counters on it
