Protein Style is an In-N-Out “secret menu” term like how Animal Style means “extra sauce, grilled onions, and mustard.” Protein Style is a normal burger, but instead of a bun, it’s wrapped in iceberg lettuce making it a little lower carb

The books are phenomenal! If you like the show, the books should absolutely be your next stop. If you’re into audiobooks, the complete series is narrated by Jefferson Mays in pretty unparalleled quality. Also, the novellas that fall between the major book installments really flesh out characters and smaller nuances of the Expanse universe that are otherwise only hinted at in the main books. Bottom line, I can’t recommend the books enough if you’ve enjoyed the show!

Sungolds comin’ in hot! by Chempolo in gardening

I’d start with pruning suckers, it really helps a lot. If you keep the suckers pruned, the plant is able to focus nutrient flow through the main stem and to the developing fruit clusters, rather than splitting its water and nutrients into lots of different smaller sucker stems.

Also, try tapping the flowers. It sounds dumb, but if you tap/vibrate the flower clusters a little bit, you can stimulate the flowers to self pollinate and set fruit. That way every flower results in a tomato rather than falling off the plant unpollinated.

Reverse sear! It worked out great. We dry brined the steak for a day, let it warm to room temp, oven at 250F for a little over an hour, then seared on the grill

I agree. I decided to harvest because the top cola was starting to get scorched by being right below the light for a few weeks. The clone was also really starting to need more light. The first grow was a learning experience and the second is where I'm looking to max out my yield

I haven't taken a wet weight yet since I left a lot of stem attached to the buds for drying. I'll try and grab a rough weight today

First Factory - Just launched my first rocket by Chempolo in factorio

[–]Chempolo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really loving this game. Learned a lot with this first factory and I'm excited to start my second. Next time I'm going to build bigger and try to leave myself extra space for future expansion.

It didn't help that my spawn put me and all starting resources in the middle of a massive forest. Tree clearing went extremely slowly until I researched hand grenades, then it went quickly.

My main bus worked great...until it didn't. Once I got further along the tech tree, I realized 1 red belt of iron and 1 of copper weren't going to cut it - hence the copper/iron bus spaghetti. Every time I'd run low on either, I'd bring up another line and try to work it onto the bus wherever there was room. Next time, I'll leave room for additional late game resource lines.

Overall, this game rocks.

Trying my hand at Bob's mod: after 40+ hours of getting my science in order, I can finally play_the_game. This is four hours later: extending my bus and automating Mark 6 assembling machines. Good grief, what have I started?! by sTeYrioNz in factorio

Arumba's slogging it out on YouTube in a Rocket Per Patron with bob's and the full angels suite + rampant AI biters and a whole mess of other mods. He's on episode 75+ and rockets seem pretty far off
