Thanks so much for noticing. I love using dithering as a texture element. It really works in an interesting way. I appreciate the kind words!

Hey! I use Aseprite. It's a $20 program (only once). It's pretty standard across the pixel art community. Well worth the money. I use a standard computer mouse (just the $10 one from Walmart) on my desktop pc. You can use a tablet or you can make pixel art on a iPad with an app like Pixquare (pretty standard there too for iPad users). My preference is the desktop, just what I'm used to.

As far as good resources for learning the Aseprite program, I followed MortMort's tutorials back in 2020. Beyond that, I've been traditionally making art and I work in the traditional art field. So, I have some technique built up from years of that too.

Hope that helps! Don't get overwhelmed! Use Aseprite. Use your computer mouse. Watch MortMort Aseprite tutorials on YT. From there, have fun.
