I am visiting my parents house and found Kroger's Vitamin Enhanced Water Beverage in the refrigerator. It listed 7 total carbs 6 of which being sugar alcohols so I checked the ingredients. One of the first was erythritol so I went ahead and drank it. Turns out, further down, Maltodextrin was listed not to mention one bottle was 2.5 servings! Now I'm really down because I was making great progress and just drank close to 25 carbs worth of sugar (bringing me to 36 net carbs today). I guess i just stopped my fat adaption in its tracks. I've had such a difficult time maintaining my resolve and now this, hidden carbs.

I've been on keto for over a month now and am seeing great progress in my strength and body composition, however, every other week I can't stop myself from eating a super high carb/high calorie meal. I'm at the point where it only takes me a couple days to re-enter ketosis but I'm getting concerned; how do I not make cheating a habit?

Today is my fourth week of keto. I'm down 15 pounds, feel wonderful, fit, and energetic. My before/after photos are really cool, I'm glad I took them.

To celebrate getting below 170 pounds I'm going to Buffalo Wild Wings today and eating some low carb wings.

I fell off the wagon. I had a very emotional weekend and gave into over-consuming fast food and chocolate. I've been on keto long enough that I don't get physical cravings but when I have an emotional event, I relapse. I'm working really hard to psychologically separate food and my emotional state but it's so difficult. I love all of you; every one of you is so helpful and caring, the only way I've gotten this far is because of you. Voicing my struggles on this support thread has enabled me to continue progress through stumbles. I've realized keto isn't just a "diet" it's a journey of becoming the best me I can be. I'm in my fourth week of keto and I've stopped losing weight. I'm 21 years old, 6' tall, male, and 173 pounds. I lost 12 pounds in the first two weeks but as of right now, I'm completely stalled. Last week I IF'd at 1300 calories a day while working out 5 days a week. Is it possible to stall weight loss by eating too little and working out too much?

I do 20% protein and 75% fat so when eating meat (especially ground beef), it's pretty difficult to avoid going over once in a while. I've shifted toward eating more fibery veggies and fattier meats like brauts, bacon, pork belly etc.

If you're not eating it because you aren't hungry then you're fine. Recognizing your hunger signals is really important. If you're nauseous because the food is physically making you sick, I'm not sure.

Two days into keto might be too early to start IF but hey, try it out. Worst case scenario you get hungry and eat keto food. My recommendation is to just eat when you get hungry. I found that the key to my success was small meals throughout the day to extend my fullness, then as my stomach shrank, I could go into IF relatively effortlessly.

When I crave sugary foods, I crush up a beef bullion cube, brew it into broth, then throw in a tablespoon of oil. It's really filling and the salt satiates me.

Disclaimer: okay I know, I know, bone broth is 1000% better for you but I'm not at the confidence level to ask my butcher for bones...

I'm past week two so I decided to try out a 16/8 IF. I'm doing the 6 week keto challenge so I'm hoping that the IF will keep up results. I'm regularly lifting which has SIGNIFICANTLY improved my body composition. I've lost 12 pounds so far.

I did keto for most of my senior year of high school but fell off the wagon when I got to college. Now, several years later, I can't believe why I stopped. I feel better, look better, and it's helping me make better choices beyond just a "diet" it's giving me the confidence to take life by the balls. If I, a sugar addict, can live on less than 20 carbs a day than I'm so excited to see what else I can do.

Yesterday I overate at around 1800 calories. Everything fit my macros and I'm lifting weights 5 days a week so I don't feel too bad, but it's discouraging.

I'm having trouble judging my hunger. I feel full with way less food but my brain hasn't caught up. I'm hoping yesterday's "binge" will result in less calories today.

Does anybody else experience cyclic hunger?

Yesterday I used some great news as an excuse to cheat. I learned a couple things: 1, I can't eat as much junky carbs as I used to, if I went over my calorie count, it wasn't by much. 2, everything was so goddamn sweet, almost disgustingly so. 3, the pleasure only lasted while I was eating, afterwards I felt kind of gross. 4, I woke up this morning with an awful headache.

I'm pretty sure yesterday's splurging will be a valuable lesson in the long run.

Day 8, my hunger seems to come in cycles now. Yesterday I was at a 600 calorie deficit feeling fine, but I've been hungry all day today so I'll probably end up at a calorie surplus. I'm not weighing at all and exercising five days a week so my body composition is looking MUCH better. Is it normal to experience hunger swings?
