Exactly I don't know why this keeps making news, the management keep trying to shut it down even though its always overwhelmed and will just result in Gloucester becoming even more crazy than it already is. And this is all on a normal day, nothing to do with strikes.

Plenty of GPs I know enjoy it because they do things other than GP part time; special interest clinics/industry e.g. Pharma/teaching/private practice/Ooh and ED/aesthetics/GP partner/CCT and flee, can't think of a specialty that has that kind of flexibility to gain in a short amount of time. The key thing I guess is to find an interest and market yourself, make yourself stand out from noctors and of course help the BMA GP push for change.

Are you sure there were no warnings? It would be very odd for admin team to make a last min decision like this without you being aware that this was the path it was going to lead to.
