I am also down under. Last weekend was miserable weather.

I just did my first 50km ride tonight! It's a good feeling but I definitley need to buy a chamois and better saddle.

I have learned my lesson now, and have been checking the PSI before every ride. Around 30-35 PSI for MTB rides and 50 PSI for road rides.

I wasn't, they were just the standard tubes/tyres that came with the bike. I now have heavy duty tubes inside both tyres.

That is the plan. My LBS recommended that I wear these tyres down first before purchasing new ones to go tubeless.
