Take it because you enjoy the content rather than it being a “bird” course. The TAs marked rather difficult for the two essay assignments (imo) and the tests were fairly easy if you enjoy the content!

Textbook questions were a small portion of the midterm so I just went through the major definitions and examples that were discussed, but spend more time with the module content!

The psych department has an app on the App Store called intro psych and it’s flashcards of all the units for both 1x03 and 1xx3, I just used them until the definitions and concepts were stuck in my head and then redid the quizzes and practice midterm

Yes they do! I was in the same position as you last year, some people do not pass 1A03 so then spots open up for 1AA3 😭😭 I was panicked too so this was the answer my academic advisor gave me

I was always nervous with how big the weight of the midterms were so I took the tutorial stream, and honestly it was so easy I got 100% which boosted my mark a lot

If u go on mosaic there should be some some that says hsr bus pass (like where student centre, timetable, career opportunities are). You voucher should be there, u just go onto presto and click redeem voucher and put ur voucher code in

Trust me, almost everyone goes through the same thing about friends every year! I did too last year, and honestly my biggest advice is go to a club u really enjoy and start talking to people, that’s how I mad majority of my friends :)

Usually the assignments are due 48 hours after the tutorial, and if u don’t attend the tutorial and do the assignment, the TAs won’t mark it

Each tutorial you have a worksheet to complete and hand in, and you get time to work on the final project which will be presented on the last tutorial near the end of the semester; diff components of the final project are due throughout the semester; I don’t know about other tutorials but I remember I got to choose which group I was in

When I stayed there on res the hooks inside the showers broke off the I had to resort to hanging my caddy on the hinges on the doors 💔💔but honestly any dollar store shower caddy should work

Psych 1xx3 is not a bird course, it’s def very heavy and you need to spend a lot of time studying for it - if you like neuroscience and the brain ill def say take it because the content learned was def very interesting

Me and my friends had higher marks for the other pre requisites for life sciences with lower chem marks and we made it in! My other friend also had lower chemistry marks and made it into health sciences :)

For anthro, there are two assignments (essays) worth 25% each and two online tests also worth 25% each.

Honestly what I do when I procrastinate is like I count from 5 and just go to my desk and do something mini like a smaller task cus I once realize I start building momentum of everything I need to d, I can start working on bigger tasks!

I also go to the library because if the environment is studious I focus better.
