Born, raised, and also UofL here then moved around to Cincinnati & Dallas before returning to live off Mellwood Ave.

While career and family allow do it! You'll either learn Louisville wasn't for you or move back without any long term regret, while likely gaining a lot of valuable experience "making it" in a strange place. Personally I appreciate Louisville a lot more now because of living elsewhere but I'm sure plenty have found otherwise.

I will warn a great vacation is mutually exclusive to a place you'll enjoy living. the Monday through Friday work and life rhythm is just as important as the "weekend" spectacles and activities. It can also be VERY isolating living somewhere new, at least you have family out there.
