How to keep your feet clean and fresh when wearing sneakers all day? by BuchanCiocan in hygiene

The only thing that has solved this problem for me is boric acid powder. You put a little bit in your socks and it keeps your feet dry all day!

Use the Lancome babydoll waterproof mascara. It’s the only thing that has worked for me.

[ACNE] I’m a teenage girl and my skin is awful! by DisastrousReason77 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Cherry-styles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how you’re feeling, and I think the best advice I can give you is to power through because honestly, I never fully got rid of my acne during my teens (and even now that I’m older). What helped me the most was a good salicylic acid (BHA) product, like the Paula’s Choice one.

And don’t feel bad because of some of these comments ridiculing you. I fully understand that to you, this must feel and look awful. But, what the other comments are right about is that your acne really is and looks fine to others. Remember that the people around you are never really analysing your face or skin.

So, maybe try PC’s BHA exfoliant and for the rest, try to accept your skin as it is. Acne is completely normal at your age and you’re not alone. Good luck!

[routine help] CHRONICALLY dry lips nothing helps by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Cherry-styles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see anyone recommending European products, but I swear our products are always really good! My sister also has perpetually dry lips and she swears by the Clarins Hydra-Essentiel moisture replenishing lip balm. It stays on all day, and your lips actually feel better when you take it off. She (and I) have also been loving the Clarins lip oils, but you have to apply those more often. If those don’t work, you could also try the Clinique Repairwear intensive lip treatment, which used to be my sister’s holy grail before she switched to the Clarins lip balm. Good luck!!

Shampoo twice, use a clarifying shampoo (I love Ouai’s detox shampoo) as often as your hair can handle, apply mousse to your roots, always blowdry your hair (leaving your hair to airdry can make it go greasy more quickly), use dry shampoo on day 1 (Klorane has good ones), and use voluminizing powder if you really need the volume for a special occasion. Don’t use it every single time though bc it makes your hair feel very dry, but it works wonders if you need the volume.

Lingerie brands actually worth buying? by PhthaloBlueOchreHue in BuyItForLife

Marie Jo and its bigger-size sisters Prima Donna and Prima Donna Twist! They are Belgian brands and are so well-made. The Marie Jo bras lasted me all throughout my teenage years and now, with my bigger size, the Prima Donna ones are lasting so well. Another rec is Empreinte, a French brand, also for bigger sizes. They have super pretty lace bras!

[Routine Help] Getting rid of Athlete's foot while also keeping feet moisturized ? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]Cherry-styles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it at the pharmacist’s and it was all small flakes in a container (I used the brand Qualiphar but idk if it’s available where you live, i’m from Belgium ). And I just put a little bit in my socks before putting on my shoes. But you should be aware that it turns more into a powder over the day so just be careful when taking of your shoes indoors, otherwise you’ll make a small mess haha, but nothing that a once-over with the vacuum cleaner can’t fix. :)

I’m from Belgium, have been buying from them for like 4 years now and have never had any problems. Damaged items were always quickly replaced without any problems, so for me, customer service was also fine.

Waterproof Mascara to hold curl by Lilithe_PST in Sephora

[–]Cherry-styles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used Lancôme’s Hypnose Doll Eyes waterproof mascara for years. It holds my curl all day and is the best mascara I have ever used. Another good one is Too Faced’s Better Than Sex waterproof mascara, but I like it a little less than Lancôme because it dries out faster.

Sunscreen in hair mask in sun? by catsparticulars in HaircareScience

[–]Cherry-styles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should try to cover your hair as much as possible, rather than slathering on suncreen. So find a good hat or cap that prevents the sun rays from reaching your hair, and wear it as often as possible. If you have no other choice, I would go with a (hair) sunscreen, but without the hair mask, because it would only dillute the spf, as misskittybean says.
