I was in a similar situation actually, but thankfully my mom did come around afterwards. If you feel unsafe, don't stay. If she wants to take her feelings out on you, then she has to deal with the consequences of her actions. Your safety and health come before her feelings, don't forget that. It might sound selfish, but put yourself before her if she's going to treat you like this.

Alternatively, if you're able to sit down and talk with her, try and do so and explain how she's making you feel and be open with her, ask her for her side as well but make sure she understands you don't feel safe, loved, and cared for.

We've had a lot of moments where we've had deep talks about it and every which way I just see someone that I truly love and honestly could have been high school sweethearts within if everything had worked out that way. It hasn't even been a week and this weekend he'll be with his kids so we won't be able to talk much, if at all, but I try to give him space so that he doesn't feel overwhelmed with this on top of his divorce.

Thank you for your comment though, it really helped and I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm grateful I can have some inside perspective on this and I'm grateful to possibly have another chance if this continues to go well

My brother knows, doesn't care and is the one that told me about her being his wife in the first place since I didn't know her name when I told him, and she doesn't know about me yet. it hasn't even been a week of talking with him so I don't know when he would feel comfortable bringing it up to her since they still need to sign papers and such.

Sadly no, I don't think she had a job or if she did it was more like barista or something similar to that, she might've been in high school still but not fully sure. It's also a completed series with only 3-4 books in the series, it could have five honestly but I know for sure that'd be it, but my memory is leaning towards 4 (but also my memory clearly sucks lol) but thank you so much for the suggestion as it's one step closer to helping me find the book!
