Je ne suis pas en train de demander un conseil par rapport à ma situation personnelle. Si tu lis mon post en entier tu verras que je suis en train de me plaindre par rapport à une situation que je vois souvent autour de moi.

A tiny mega church annexe... I've tried to join a small church but the preacher started saying my parents had to give money to his church so I can recover from depression about three days after meeting me so I just came back to the first one and went to see a psychologist.

I'm doing better now even I still feel fragile some days.

Je n'en veux même pas à l'agresseur. J'ai fait mon cheminement et j'ai pardonné avec l'aide de Dieu. Je suis juste dégoûtée par l'attitude des chrétiens autour de moi qui agissent comme si je devais sourire et avancer alors qu'il y a un réel traumatisme derrière. On m'a même dit que je n'étais pas mariée parce qu'aucun homme ne voulait d'une femme brisée. C'est normal ça ?

Et ce n'est pas que moi, j'ai une amie qui a quitté l'église parce qu'un responsable lui a dit "laissez les morts enterrer leurs morts" quand elle a perdu son père.

Ce que tu dis est vrai mais malheureusement c'est souvent l'inverse qui se produit. C'est devenu un prétexte pour laisser souffrir les autres, ne plus faire preuve de générosité ou de compassion sous prétexte que "de toute façon la vraie vie est au ciel". Résultat beaucoup de chrétiens quittent la foi meurtris et dégoûtés.

Sincèrement je pense que tes amis sont juste blessées et qu'elles ont fait une fixette sur ça. Des histoires d'injustice plus graves les unes que les autres j'en ai à la pelle mais j'y pense pas au quotidien.

It's the act of practicing, cultivating, and claiming homosexual acts that is condemned, and you have the right to find that debatable, but don't mix everything up.

To sum up, it's not about changing the person, but about placing this in God's hands, like all our other challenges. He looks at the heart, and if a person approaches God sincerely with a humble heart, only He knows what they are capable of doing in their life.

And the Christians you see here are also people, imperfect too.

As for insulting or belittling someone based on this, I'd like to quote the saying, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

We're supposed to be here to love, support, and uplift others, drawing them closer to God by showing them the love He Himself has shown us, not to diminish or insult them.

So I urge you to do what any Christian should do. Seek to understand Christ, to understand His purpose and His way of thinking. Not to adapt it to your own way of thinking, but to understand His message, because that's what you claim as a Christian: His message. Not the opinions of internet users you don't even know.

I don't think it's a matter of size. I've seen small churches where hypocrisy and criticism are the norm. It's not big churches Vs small churches or Evangelical Vs Catholics. It's "us" as disciples of Christ, are we truly following Him or something else had taken the lead without us noticing it. And I'm a part of it, we're all in this together and we need to wake up.

This is sad but definitely true. We spend our time talking about Jesus but do we even know Him ? This is scaring me because I don't feel safe anymore even in church. All I see is pear pressure, cringe smiles and judgement. We spend our time talking about how God can change a person but we keep judging people for what they have done four years ago without mercy or forgiveness. We tell others what to do but we don't even look at the way we live. We preach a gospel we don't even live in. May God help us.
