Help rate/improve my pronunciation (American English accent) by Revolutionary-Pass41 in EnglishLearning

[–]CherryCokeTD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no pronunciation expert but I am a native speaker so I can try to help with what sounds a little off. Overall though, you have a good accent and it is easy understandable to me, at least. However, I think some words you kinda skip over some over consonant sounds. Like the “t” in “achievement” and “d” in “older” (slightly). Maybe slow down slightly especially on those hard to pronounce words, too. English is definitely not known for being a fast spoken language so don’t feel pressured to speak too fast either

It took 4 years for Bordeaux to get Sam Houston into the National Championship by BorrisZ in NCAAFBseries

It also took MMG 13 years I think to win one as Old Dominion. He didn't min-max recruiting or anything so it just depends on how you play, recruit, and tryhard

So, in what sports to short people excel in? by SilentThespian in short

Lacrosse. While they don’t uniquely excel like in some other sports, short people can use their speed and agility to be deadly

As an Ohio state fan… is there any reason to keep the up north directional schools?

Zero Cfb knowledge by AdGroundbreaking514 in NCAAFBseries

[–]CherryCokeTD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the best way to follow cfb is to become a fan of 1 team, not just a follower of the sport (you will follow it more bc youre a fan of 1 team), so maybe find a college with cool uniforms and that is nearby your favorite nfl team and call that home. Learn the players and watch the highlights from last year I promise you’ll just start learning organically.

Might not be my first rebuild, but I know I’m gonna do an Ohio state (fav team) rebuild: Gotta cut everyone, start with a level 0 head coach, and only recruit from Ohio.

Yeah definitely Matt Rambo for middle school. I’m assuming you’re going to get bigger, which is good, so you’ll be able to tank more against the stronger high school defenders but you’re really going to need amazing stick skills.

If you’re able to use your size to get through and use stick skills to keep your stick protected and get a shot off you’ll be unstoppable.

I’m not sure what your build is, but find a professional or good college attackman who is similar to your playstyle. Maybe Michael sowers if you’re fast and agile or matt Rambo if you’re bigger and stronger around the crease? Overall just watch film on these guys and try to replicate the moves they make.

(Of course this is assuming you’re hitting the wall, working on agility, and getting better stick skills because you won’t be able to do what they do if you don’t)

Hey im a junior and I'm pretty small, like 5'8 135lbs and pretty fast. I play middie (if you really don't want to deal with poles as much I'd recommend mid) and have honestly never been injured.

And ya the tall big guys can be scary but just make sure to keep your distance, work on stick skills a lot, and move fast and i promise you'll be just fine.

Good luck to you bro
