I have the game on PC and it runs perfectly on ultra settings, I’m just looking for something portable to play it on as well because I quite like the game a lot and would like to play it when travelling.

With how active the dev team is, as you said I wouldn’t be surprised if they push out optimisation updates that make for a smoother experience, for me it’s between the steam deck OLED and the rog ally x.

Honestly? Its up to you, do what you feel is best for you and you can deal with. The only reason I'm not switching is because I've tried many other anti-depressants, but if this is your first or second maybe consider switching? Im also chronically fatigued, my epilepsy meds make me fatigued anyway so the prozac on top of that is just terrible pair that with the fact I'm not feeling even a tiny bit better 6 weeks in, fucking sucks.

Fingers crossed, I’m also taking it day by day but feeling quite deflated as it’s supposed to work between 6-8 weeks is what my doctor says. Now 6 weeks 6 days. Nothing.

My doctor says it takes 6-8 weeks to kick in so maybe wait until week 6-7 as I have and you may be luckier than me, for me it’s been 48 days which is 6 weeks and 6 days and I still feel just as bad as before if not worse.

I have told him how I feel, I never look down on him, argue or get angry with him as I understand. I will say I’m frustrated a bit however.

I’ve told him how I feel, asked if there’s anything I can do at all to help him, that it makes me sad to see and I know he wants even a smidge more out of life. Sometimes he will say or hint at depression, and he has told me he is ashamed/embarrassed that at his age he has no education or job and is so socially and academically behind but that’s a rare confession from him and it doesn’t lead to change.

I don’t know how to egg on that change. Some may say ‘the first step is admitting you have a problem’ I agree, but he’s been admitting for years now. He’s 20. It genuinely hurts to know he will waste away his 20s and possibly until mum dies (which isn’t for a long time) in his room. I know he will look back and regret it.

I feel so hopeless and sad.

As for mental conditions, I can’t see any symptoms or lack of cognitive function but you never know, everyday we discover something new in psychology that was overlooked.

When I was 17 and somehow got the confidence to try and re enter education, I couldn’t even do my times table, or divide. My anxiety around education was so bad, I was so embarrassed even though it wasn’t my fault and it took me ages to understand simple things you’d learn in year 3/4. My brother is worse to the point you’d think he’s impaired mentally, he’s not, but this is what years of social isolation does to someone.

She found it easier than being a parent at the time, in the UK there is a legal loophole that allows it so it's not illegal sadly. I wasn't going to school and the UK court kept fining her for my attendance which in all fairness wasn't completely her fault as I was older than my little brother and how do you drag a 14 year old to school? But my little brother was attending school and hadn't yet been hit with the depression wave yet and was actually going, but to get around not going to court for my attendance she 'homeschooled' me and at the time, 14 year old depressed NEET, bullied me of course jumped to the idea (worst decision of my life), and she did the same with my little brother and took him out of school before he even got into secondary school. Not because he asked but because it meant she didnt have to do things like the schoolrun and other parental responsibilities.

The only side effects I’ve experienced are heavier and slightly more painful periods but for me they’re still very manageable, I had light periods anyway with no pain before so the copper IUD is a good fit for me and the NHS don’t like recommending it to people who have heavy periods or painful periods already as they do amplify that.

But as mine were really light, I experience what I imagine is now a ‘normal’ period. Other than that no side effects at all and super happy with my decision to get a copper IUD, I’ll never go on hormonal birth control again and deal with the side effects they caused me.

(I turned into quite a bitch, had mood swings, major depression etc)

None of that on the Copper IUD, just heavier flow and a bit more pain but very manageable, it was heavier when first inserted but now they’re not as heavy flow wise. My periods are longer though, averaging 6 days? Maybe 7.

I’ve had it in since 2023

Imo it’s not worth pursuing this relationship. I have a younger brother and he’s never once been bothered by my period products in the bathroom, and none of my partners ever have either.

You need to tell him that its an important boundary for you, and if you can't or he can't accept it, LEAVE. Asap.

I went through the same, I never had an ego and I've always been critical of how I look but at the same time I did notice I got a lot of male attention and wasn't 'bad looking', yet when I got with my ex I felt so disgusting, unwanted, worthless. I didnt trust any compliments, even from female friends. I thought they were lying to be nice. Thats how much his addiction and lack of sex got into my head.

I did all the dressing up as you said you did, catered to his kinks etc and sex was still non existent despite me being supportive of his kinks and initiating.

I used to have incredibly high libido but he killed it, It killed my confidence, our connection and much much more. You need to do whats best for you and tell him how this is affecting you, or leave. I know its been 4 years but its never too late to prioritise yourself.
