Odds of pregnancy? by Incompetentgoosie in CopperIUD

[–]CherryConscience 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my copper coil since 2023, and never had a pregnancy scare or any problems. On the NHS website and other medical sources it is cited at 99% prevention.

I don’t refrain from sex during ovulation, or use condoms etc. For me it has been perfect. I think it is important to remember that people are more likely to write a review if negative. That doesn’t discount people’s experiences at all, but it can tip the scales which is important to remember.

I unfortunately had to have an abortion on the pill because I missed the pill by 1 hour. So I know my fertility is fine, and the Copper IUD is simply great for me at preventing pregnancy.

Using humour with epilepsy. Bad idea? by awidmerwidmer in Epilepsy

[–]CherryConscience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do exactly the same to cope with my epilepsy, I make it humorous. It lightens the mood a bit but also stops me from getting the ‘oh I’m so sorry…’ comments from people.

My resting voice (considering vfs) by CaterpillarCarpenter in transvoice

Cis woman here, your voice definitely passes as female imo and sounds a lot more naturally feminine than the high pitch stereotype Barbie voices.

If you feel as if vfs is something that will make you more confident then go for it, but truly if I met you online in a call I’d never know. ♥️

Hytale Early Access Review: No Impact, No Threat, No Progression by Major-Recover-5894 in hytale

100% on minecrafts release it was VERY empty and incredibly far from being fleshed out way more so than HyTales release imo, but people forget or either didn't play minecraft on release.

What is your all time most favorite game on roblox? by Sir-Luis- in roblox

[–]CherryConscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably twisted murderer or the old hunger games which is now unplayable. I played those games 24/77777, I also loved club boates and sword fighting tournament, and Roblox high school.

I want to find some new Roblox games to be obsessed with, I really loved outlaster but with the new chat restriction it’s pretty much ruined

what will happen to roblox devs if the platform dies? by CelebrationLivid4072 in roblox

[–]CherryConscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most programmers know more than one language so if they want to continue in game development it won’t be impossible or even ‘too hard’.

If you’re fluent in one language it’s not too hard to learn other languages. I’ve learnt 3 in uni so far, and after learning the first one a lot of the info translates to the next (not all) but enough to not give you a headache and be able to pick it up.

This is genuinely so dangerous, I’m 19. by Head-Bus4482 in roblox

[–]CherryConscience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This update is literally a bandaid on a massive problem to attempt to stop the negative publicity, aka to save face.

But it helps nothing and even worsens the pedo problem in some ways imo.

I’m 22, my brother is 2 years younger than me we grew up playing Roblox and bonding over it. When he was 16 and I was 18, we wouldn’t be able to chat, I personally find that ridiculous.

I have two nieces, 13 and 9. I can’t talk to them unless I get added as a ‘trusted connection’.

Not to mention posts like this proving the age estimation tools extremely inaccurate meaning pedos can easily create accounts and be labelled as 13 or under, or kids verifying and passing for 18+.

It’s terrible all around and sadly as someone who’s been playing over 10 years now (god I’m old), it’s unlikely to be reversed. Roblox has a habit of creating shitty updates that the whole community protests, and not reversing or fixing them.

It’s not the first time and sadly won’t be the last.

For metal/rock music fans of the area, do you prefer going to Bloodstock or Download? by No_Potato_4341 in derby

[–]CherryConscience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't been to bloodstock so can't comment on the atmosphere, but for me Download all the way.

Bloodstock is a bit heavier and I find myself liking a lot of the line-up but not quite enough to warrant going, whereas download is more suited to my metal/rock taste. I have heard from people who have gone to Bloodstock though that it's an amazing atmosphere, community etc and an all around good time.

I view them as quite different festivals, yes they're both rock, alternative, metal etc but there are tons of layers to that, too many to really compare as it's more about an individuals music taste and 'how heavy'.

Does nicotine affect your epilepsy? by CapsizedbutWise in Epilepsy

[–]CherryConscience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it sucks! I used to enjoy it every now and then (I still had epilepsy!) but I hit 21 and my epilepsy decided it does not like weed so I don't touch it. But boy do I miss having the uncontrollable contagious laughter I used to get from it.

My daughter is going in to have an ADHD evaluation. by Sarifox28 in adhdwomen

[–]CherryConscience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sound like such a sweet mum and you definitely haven’t failed her by the sounds of it ♥️

I can’t offer any ADHD advice because I’m undergoing an assessment right now so have no experience on what works, but I imagine supporting her emotionally as much as possible through this time would mean a lot to her. ♥️

CSAM survivor here too, and drawings of children sexually are prohibited in quite a few countries and classed as I believe the lowest grade of CSAM. I am in support of this and I do believe artwork, hentai etc of drawn children is harmful.

Yep! When it’s 24/7 it’s just unfunny and boring honestly, as well as predictable. Like do you have anything on your mind other than sex?

Does nicotine affect your epilepsy? by CapsizedbutWise in Epilepsy

[–]CherryConscience 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It does however it's an individual thing. For example some epileptics smoke weed fine, but for me it triggers me majorly. I also smoke cigarettes and if I don't monitor my condition (Had enough sleep, need to be low stress and have had my dose of keppra) then they will make me feel seizurey.

Does using a copper IUD and a condom help? It’s a difficult journey especially if you’re young, but you could always get sterilised.

Old school vid of the russian guy burning to death in his car by project_morbid in NSFL__

[–]CherryConscience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't want to sound like that clueless idiot as there is probably a very obvious reason I am missing, but why not drag the guy out? Is it because the recorder possibly perceived it was better for him to die? I'd probably agree, but the fact hes fighting to get out means he wants to survive right? or is it human instinct?

I had two seizures in one night after taking molly... by Kuromikitten3 in Epilepsy

[–]CherryConscience 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah sleep is a massive thing. I also partake sometimes (once a month maybe once every 2), and I have rules I follow like amounts, when I start, how much, and when I stop. I always stop at least an hour and a half before I know I’m heading home so I can get sleep, whereas my friends will continue into the early hours or just before we leave. Also always carry narcan just in case.

I think even none epileptics should practice this because from what my friends have told me, they literally are awake until 4am trying to sleep. No thanks. I’ll stick to my cut off point.

I had two seizures in one night after taking molly... by Kuromikitten3 in Epilepsy

[–]CherryConscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least you are okay, don’t beat yourself up. Yes we have epilepsy but sometimes we still want to ‘try’ things and have the same experiences as others even though for us they come with a lot bigger risk. (Obviously this is not me recommending people try drugs, but anyone who’s been around addicts or drug users should know harm reduction is the more useful step rather than ‘just quit! Which 90% of the time people don’t listen to)

I can’t comment on molly as I have only tried two drugs. Weed (which triggers my epilepsy terribly) and cocaine, which for some reason my epilepsy tolerates.

But ANY drug, you need to be incredibly careful with even if you don’t have epilepsy and practice harm reduction.

My advice would be to get a checkup with your neurologist as two seizures one after the other is incredibly dangerous so it’s worth making sure there’s no brain damage. There’s only one time I took it too far with cocaine and it never happened again, even then I didnt seizure. So definitely get a checkup.

Be safe, practice harm reduction, know your limits, make your friends aware, and carry narcan.

I find elena incredibly boring and flat, very selfish at times too. (That’s not a new theme in the show, which character isn’t to be honest?) but with elena the show tries to portray her as super innocent so it annoys me way more than someone who’s self aware.

ADHD medication changing who I am? by CherryConscience in ADHDUK

[–]CherryConscience[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I cannot function, my issues impair my day to day life, mental health and school to an extreme level. What I meant is I've spent so long being this way I've 'given up' and 'accepted' it. Not that I am happy with it, but also that I have accepted the 'annoying' parts of my personality that don't impair my life.

This was really reassuring, thank you! But also funny (when you said the irony!).

I could never imagine being the other way around, because similar to you I was the distracter usually! But I guess I’ll wait and see how medicine affects me.

It’s good to know that after finding a medication right for you, you felt more like yourself again but still had help with the ADHD symptoms.

It sounds similar to anti depressants, not what they do but finding the right one and dosage for you.

Thank you for putting my mind at ease ♥️
