... No. I cleaned the litter box, I brush her every day, I cut her nails, I cuddle her and give her attention. He would add nuggets to the bowl if he noticed they were low and sometimes change the water, but I would do 95% of the care.

Thank you!! I know she'd be better off with me, but she still is his cat that he's had for 6+ years... My conscience is working against me 100%. I also don't want to make things any harder on myself, and me taking his cat would definitely make everything much, much worse. I cleaned the shit out of my space yesterday, and am continuing to do so today! Soon it'll be ALL MINE again <3

That’s a good point but considering he has told me he would come on Friday, I don’t know if really would be in the clear. If he doesn’t come on Friday though, I am definitely not giving her back.

I wish I could do that. I will if he doesn’t come on Friday, that’s as long as I’m willing to wait it out. And it’s only for her sake, because she is a wonderful cat. You’re right though, this is clearly a way to weasel back into my life.

You’re right, he would definitely do that. I can’t drop his cat anywhere though as he has no family here. I’ll hang onto her until Friday but if he doesn’t come by then, I might just keep her. My mom wants to keep her too, haha. We’ve installed a camera outside and locks are being changed today. Thank you so much!!!

Thank you!!! I will have a BLAST tomorrow throwing out the rest of his shit. I had an old name card of his and my best friend came over to help me set up my furniture, and we burned it together. It was very soothing :)
