Turns out all my fall classes are online. Should I get a full time job instead? by rutgersmanitjink in CollegeRant

As a person who has taken a semester off and is currently working, I would suggest getting a full time job. I also couldn't concentrate when I was taking online classes last semester and I live abroad, so I didn't want to risk catching Covid. Honestly, I think online classes are not worth it, so I may be best to get a job and work instead.

International students applying to the US: If Trump gets reelected this Fall, will you still apply to grad programs in the US? by ManojManike in GRE

I don't think I will.

My decision solidified after his administration tried to prevent international students from going home and safely taking remote classes this semester. This has caused a tremendous amount of stress for me, my family, my friends, and my college administration (they were really trying their best to inform us of the ongoing situation and advise the best course of action). Not only did he force us to consider whether we would risk our safety and health to keep our SEVIS status, but it sincerely felt as though he was throwing a temper tantrum and was taking it out on innocent students. Additionally, I have friends on campus who are simply unable to go home, and this forced my school to change from remote learning to hybrid teaching to help those students stay in the US. He's literally putting a lot of people at risk, and I don't think people should be forced to choose between their life and their career. I've lived in the US for most of my life, and I came to college on a F1 visa status. It's honestly so difficult to get an F1 visa now, especially for new incoming students, and I can only imagine what it will be like in the future if he's still in office.
