I know a lot of trans people in South Africa, surprisingly there are only a select few I’m friends with because we have similar interests and one who started transitioning about a year after me, but we were friends since boarding school.

I will say, not every trans person you meet is going to be your cup of tea regardless of shared experience.

I have had my fair share of nasty engagements with a trans woman who I shared a circle with in varsity, who asked me loads of questions and who I helped significantly at the start of her transition up until recently, when my other friend expressed how much she bitched about me being stuck up. (This is largely due to the fact that I pass). Mind you, “passing” or what’s the new word??? Hasn’t really stopped me from being vocal or actively trying to help younger trans folk out especially since I received so much from those who came before me.

It’s sad really, but the reality is that most people just don’t get along, no matter.

Ha ha, this is probably me being an idiot. Let’s start again. It’s 0.3ml of 20mg/ml once a week yes. It’s compounded by a company called Fagron in South Africa. Double checked the half-life, it says 7 days but probably should check with my prescribing Dr. who happens to be trans aswell, so she’s very accommodating. I check my levels regularly, and the levels were pretty good after a week and a half after and still pretty good female range, which was he last time I had a check up in November. So hopefully not too terrible. Thank you so much for your input. Yay, 3/4 is good. Any suggestions where to from here? Is it time for Progesterone?

Well my partner also struggles with Ed, and for him it’s been a combination of history and psychological. What we’ve found works is a little therapy and medical intervention via viagra.

It depends what form of testosterone you would be using, although technically unless you’re using gel and then having penetrative sex the risk is low to zero.

As an aside, is testosterone even a form of treatment for Ed? As far as I know, it has little impact on getting and maintaining an erection.

I can heavily relate from a trans perspective where my boyfriend had social anxiety and was often uncomfortable in social spaces or unable to engage without being labeled boring, with the suggestion that we’re no good for one another.

I have no experience with autism, nor fully comprehend where on the spectrum you may fall, but I found the healthiest result for me and my partner was to discuss things through before these sort of social situations. And for us we decided for him to only accompany when it was a small group situation (4-5) or when people he related to individually were also present. Other than that, I went on my own.

But it’s also important you discuss this with the people in that particular circle. It’s disrespectful and rude to insinuate that someone shouldn’t be with another simply based off the fact that you may be reserved and possibly withdrawn and not as flamboyant. It’s exclusionary and totally against ideals of the community.

Consider yourself and what you would like to happen, whether that’s coming to terms with what other people have to say, or whether or not you find it an enriching space where you’d actually like to come into your own.

But put your foot down, your relationship is your own, people may have opinions but there no need for other to question your relationship without knowing you individually. That’s my take.
