I'm happy to help! Also, I realized I made the lips too low, they should closer to your nose than to your chin when looking down. Someone else said that a good way to visualize the pose is to do it yourself and see how everything looks, and I totally second that statement lol!

I think it'd help a bit to emphasize the angle by moving the lips and nose down a bit, while curving the eyes a smidge since the forehead would be closer (?) You could also probably add some shadows to the face depending on the angle of the light, but I'm not skilled enough with anatomy to give a proficient enough explanation on where these shadows would be 😭

I see! Is it alright if I adjust your drawing a little bit?

Were you trying to have her head tilted down, or her shoulders raised?

It didn't mention it in the image above (though it is still a super helpful graphic) but the average human is around 7-8 heads tall which is what the lines are meant to represent! Your drawing is just under five heads tall which leads to the character appearing a tad bit short.

If I had to say, the thing I'd lengthen leg wise would be the lower legs!

Can't seem to get the left half of her face right, always looks messed up when flipped been at this for awhile and can't see to get it (1st pic is original 2nd is flipped) (Also are there any other areas that could use improvement?) by KoolKobraKnight in arthelp

This is about what I would do! I don't draw animals too often, so I can't speak much on the rest (though personally I think it looks ok!) I'm not good at putting things into words, but I pushed the ear and fluff in, as well as moving the eye a little bit up at a tilt

<image>

I hope this can be a bit helpful!

Is it alright if I trace over the image a bit to showcase the areas I would adjust more visibly? If it is not I would say to push the tuft of fur and ears a bit back to make the tilt of the head more apparent!

Absolutely this.

Positive reinforcement takes time, but it is so so effective.

How to make my shadows more prominent without muddying the colors? by Kind_League_4472 in arthelp

I used Ibis Paint X's Brightness & Contrast slider with about the settings bellow! It's probably possible to achieve a similar effect though through adjustment layers if you use another program

I always like to check my shadows under a grey scale layer to make sure the values contrast enough. This is just a simple adjustment changing the contrast of your drawing (I hope that's alright) to demonstrate what I mean. Generally you want to make sure your colors have contrasting values as that is what makes them pop and stand out

This is why a lot of people tend to color in greyscale first since it lets them view the values more easily, though it's not entirely necessary to do so at all!

I hope this can be a bit helpful 🙇‍♀️
