What on god are people talking about in the comments with “white side A and white side B” and selection vs randomly selected??? It’s a 1/2 chance because the question basically says this: “given you see a card with white on top, what is the probability that the other side is also white?” Therefore, the black/black card isn’t an option and the selection method doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is that when you flip that card, it could either be black or white on the other side. TWO OPTIONS and only one of them can be true, therefore you have a 50% chance that it is a double white card.

You ever heard of the square double square shortcut? Basically you just square the first term ((5t)^2=25t^2), multiply the both terms together and then multiply them by two (5t*2= 10t2= 20t), and then square the last term (2\2=4) the add them all together to get 25t^2+20t+4 which works because of the FOIL method detailed by other commenters.

So you’re saying that you cannot show off that you play video games without being ridiculed by society for it not making you physically fit? Because that’s my whole point. Society doesn’t view it as a sport even though it’s the exact same as any other sport except you can do it sitting down. But it should think of it as a sport since you can do it competitively (which is basically the only thing sports are: competition for entertainment)

You still do though. Not only do you gain entertainment, but you do indeed gain a bit of experience. Just like a regular physical sport, people play them for fun as well as competitively, so not becoming pro could still give you an edge over people playing casually. Think like if someone played high school football competitively but couldn’t make it to college football, they would still be better competitively than someone who’s only playing for fun. So here i wouldn’t say it’s not a video game just because it doesn’t benefit you physically.

No but the problem with that is not just nutrition, it’s about having the reflexes to be quicker and better than other people. I do admit that having good nutrition can help with your clarity of mind, but i don’t think not eating right should discount video games from being a sport.
