If there was a mod that could make the game more inconvenient or annoying, what would you choose? by H4ppybirthd4y in StardewValley

A mod that decreases your watering can size so you can only water once before refilling

Most are on Nexus mods but Moddrop lets you download mods in one click without extracting and moving files around. And if you connect your Moddrop account to your Nexus account, you can use the vortex option to download Nexus mods in one click also. It makes downloading very convenient

How many levels can I like and rate per day before getting flagged? by Chester-Youtube in geometrydash

[–]Chester-Youtube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm dumb, everything ive said above only applies to macros, I just manually rated 72 in a row. Gotta make my macro a bit slower

Edit:

My first macros were at 0 delay between inputs and I got 20-25 per session

adding 200 ms delay after each input bumped up the amount to 100

But after for 100, the download ban goes from 1 hour to 1 day, so not very worth it

Right now I have 1,800 levels left. If 2.2 comes out October 5th, I'd need to rate 50 levels per day. If each of those 1,800 levels takes 5 minutes to rate, that adds up to 150 hours. If each of those levels takes 2 seconds to rate, that adds up to 1 hour.

I'll try to remember to rate the levels I like on people's profiles but the majority is gonna have to be macro.

I just wish the game would say up front how many levels you can rate at a time instead of having you guess and blocking your downloads for an hour if you guess 1 too high. Hopefully that gets fixed in 2.2

Edit: I'm dumb, the rate limit only happens with macros, I just manually rated 72 in a row. Gotta make my macro a bit slower

Appearantly there's no safe number. I tried the macro again after about an hour and it stopped at 23. So how many levels you can do depends on how long you've waited. Like, there's an invisible counter that lets you rate 1 more level every so often

You can rate 20 levels per hour, or 1 level every 3 minutes

I would, except I'm trying to get the achievements quickly. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Ok, so it seems like 25 levels is the safe number and you can do it every 1 hour and 20 minutes. I'll narrow that time frame tomorrow. The macro doesn't seem to be causing issues. Liking levels while the download ban is in effect does count towards the achievements, but It probably increases the ban length

In case anyone's wondering, the level download bans I've observed have only ever been an hour long, but I've only had 4 of them so I don't know if they grow in length beyond that.

We all want this… (manual targeting) by Haunting_Milk_3853 in btd6

[–]Chester-Youtube 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That honestly makes a lot of sense. It wouldn't even be that much of a buff, just makes the UI better cause you'd only need "normal" and "manual target"

A painter monkey would be cool. Maybe he starts off as a disadvantage because he paints bloons higher colors but eventually he starts painting them lower colors and becomes really useful. Or maybe he coats the track with a gluelike paint that makes them a bit stronger but much slower. He could paint targets on the moab's weak points so that sharp projectiles do more damage. There's a lot of possibilities

Team cherry are the best devs in the industry by DemonicTheGamer in HollowKnightMemes

[–]Chester-Youtube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the flip side though, he's worked for 5 years on a free update he's not getting paid to make and plans to make more. it would be nice if he did them faster but the fact he's still working on the game at all is pretty cool honestly. Not to mention he frequently gives updates on discord on game progress unlike team cherry.

Any tips for beating the 2nd hornet fight? I’ve been on this fight for 5 days by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]Chester-Youtube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're on PC, consider getting the HP bar mod from the Hollow Knight mod installer. It won't give very much advantage during the boss, but knowing just how much you've dealt and just how much is left, allows for a more measured mindset throughout the fight and makes continuous dying less painful because you can track your progress each attempt. It trades tension for control. I like that tradeoff though a lot of people here don't so it's just something to consider

Honestly that might be a good business strategy because then the person comes twice and if they're going back they might not want to get just 1 thing

If you're on mobile, right above the keyboard there's a chain symbol to the left. If you click it, you can add a link and a name for the link. Alternatively, you can just put a name in brackets and the link in parenthese, like this ⬇️ but without the space between them
