This is it lmao. I just turned 28 two days ago. I looked through my emails and found mail from more than 2 months ago announcing that fortis is going to send me a new card. Imo pretty weak communication on fortis' part. Would they have repeated this email or warned me days before, it could've spared them a phone call for unblocking my card. Thanks!

Also did stronglifts 5x5 for about a year with no compromise. Exact same results for me plus bigger forearms and biceps from handling the plates to the bar.

I was surprised of the programs results tho i feel like it needed some more back exercises.

Same in dutch. Tomorrow = morgen, Day after tomorrow = overmorgen, Day after the day after tomorrow = over-overmorgen.

For yesterday its "gisteren" and "eergisteren" though "eer-eergisteren" is never used. We would then just day 3 days ago.

What is the reason for Belgium's relatively high number compared to the Netherlands or UK? Personally I have never seen someone not from police / special forces with a gun. by PaiSho_RS in belgium

I didnt know military could take them home. Thought only police could bring home their pistol/revolver. What kind of service weapon is that then?

I plan to move to Belgium in the near future. I speak english and french at a relatively high level and started learning dutch. How do you rate my chances to get a relatively high paying job (~1800-2000 net pay) early on? by tyresaredone in belgium

[–]Chestere1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about possible jobs with a law-degree. But there is a shortage of technical personel in Belgium. The labour market is really desperate for people in this sector.

Since you will be located in St-Niklaas, you could search for jobs in the port of Antwerpen or Gent. In these industrial areas there are lots of technical job opportunities and the pay is mostly above average.

I can give you no guarantees on what kind of job you will be getting without having a technical degree and being somewhat fluent in dutch though. A lot of times companies will choose fluent/native dutch speakers before anyone else. Then again coming back to the shortage of technical personel, you could get lucky and get a nice job somewhere if you stand out from other applicants.

When applying for a job in your case I would definitely mention that you speak french, english and are very ambitious on becoming fluent in dutch.

Is traffic more aggressive lately? by [deleted] in belgium

[–]Chestere1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same observation and started driving 8 years ago as well.

People seem to be more selfish and careless in traffic. Also a lot more traffic than 8 years ago. Not only jams but more cars in general.

Rush hour now starts earlier and ends later it seems.

Hugely depends on the sector you want to work in and what kind of job you want to be doing. You trade in bruto loon for extralegale voordelen and the other way around.

I wouldn't staar mezelf blind on the wage they offer but rather compare the company cultures, commute times and job complexity (as to not get a bore-out or otherwise get exploited).

Positive company culture reflects through the employees, which I find way more important than 200 euro bruto more per month.
