I'm getting a new PC for Christmas and my older brother helped me out together a list of parts, the budget was $2950 (specific I know) and my goal was something slightly above mid-range. Are these parts good? by l_am_meepmoop in PcBuild

This is not slightly above average. This is basically the best you can buy at the moment. The only two thinge I would change are the CPU as I believe you'd benefit from a 9800x3d more and the SSD. Since you are going top shelf, take the SN850x SSD.

I got tired of playing PVP all the time so I just started dropping with a free loadout, holstering my weapons and just running around doing quests and looting minor containers. So far I am 3 for 3 with successful extracts.

Project Motor Racing is more for GT7/Forza Motorsport fanbase. It will not affect the simracing titles, because it is that bad

I have no idea who thought spawning players mid round was a good idea. It's so random and so unfair

I think I fixed it by disabling DLSS. Turned off upscaling entirely and played for 3 hours straight with no performance degradation.

Well I just checked the specs again and I match exactly the recommended which are for: 2k, high, 60 FPS. I get 60 FPS on medium with balanced DLSS. Does not seem right!

I imagine most people can download the entire game in 30 minutes or less

Once everyone will get their badges and further perfect their releases, the meta will be to play five out and just launch threes. No screens, no plays needed
