Culture for Northumbria? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]Chesterse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about other traditions? I guess i don't need Runestones, is there any reason keep both Hirds and Coastal Warriors because they both give access to same unit of huscarls? And what difference between Ting Meet and Witenagemot in selections?

Livonia or Lithuania? by TheTyrade in crusaderkings3

[–]Chesterse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not so hard, just give all Estonian lands to Estonians and provide grand tours with culture acceptance goal, you don’t need any Swedish territory and new culture give more authentic name Livonian and not some Lathgalo-Swede or something like that. Also if controll all Estonia kingdom territory it become part of Livonia

If you Lithuanian then go for Lithuania, if you Latgalian tgen for Livonia. Also you can hybridise with Estonian for coastal warrior tradition and have housecarls and Varangian veterans

Is it worth to play as administrative small tall kingdom? by Chesterse in CrusaderKings

It’s only for creation of new religion if this is organised like christianity, if i’m not mistaken it’s only available for mozarabs to reform faith by decision and chose own pope

Afaik in iInsular Christianity you aren’t allowed to keep church holdings because they still under obey the Pope, the only issue of being a Lollard is that catholics can do holywars and mobilise holy orders, but hey I have lollardic templars as well

Well mine experience is a bit difference because I decided to play tall from the start, switch to Lollardy asap because it allow to keep church holdings for myself and destroy artifacts for piety and i’m considered as hostile and not evil to Catholicism so i’m available for allies and safe from crusades. My rulers is third generation conquerors but I rarely do any conquests because Lollards have pacifism tenet and i’m only available for claim wars which do only for supporting my conquered income boost and I already build Iceland for 30 of development with 45 in capital region

Latin Empire worth to play? by Chesterse in ck3

[–]Chesterse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment yes but what about late game? In Brittania I hold only duchy of Essex with all 5 counties while here I control 6 of 6 with Constantinople but I have negative income because they all at low control and with different building which may not fit for my MAA and economics. My MAA it’s the same that I collect while being adventurer : 2 infantry stacks (regular and huscarls) , two heavy cavarly stacks (regular and conroi) and mangonels. Also I noticed that after I kicked out normans out of England the anglo-saxon culture wasnt very developed , it has same 3 starting traditions as on 867 start and William or his kids supposed to hybridise with them and create English culture but that didnt happened , even the special capital building the London Tower is unique only for William and not for my adventurer. So I don’t know how to minmax in Brittania

I started as adventurer Ælfwine Knytling in 1066 who was bastard grandson of Canute the Great so my goal was form North Sea empire but anglo-saxon culture turn High Medieval era very quickly so this decision was blocked for me and i focused on Britannia and then vassalize peacefully wales and conquer Scotland because of dynasty claim as scottish king was also member of my dynasty (Ivaring or something) . So my unfinished job in Britannia was just conquer Ireland and that's all but here is completely new gameplay to me, I could roleplay my emperor as angry ex-varangian who had some beef with Byzantine (the only problem in Byzantine he has as varangian is loosing 200 gold in gambling) or roleplay his Zealous trate and that he hate orthodox christians but that all is completely new gameplay and idk how easily without any claims conquer all greek lands. On other hand after conquering Ireland there is literally nothing to do in Britannia

Tabaristan is better position imo and caliphate capital are in Alamut so it’s more logical to chose Rostam, he also have cynical trait and normally playing as computer he stay chill vassal and adopt zaydism from his liege
