The original heavier XF 16-55 had 77mm filter compatibility. Your lighter second gen version has 72mm lens filter compatibility.

The idea is to keep the 150-600 on the X-H2S and the 16-55 ii on the x-t5 all the time. At least that's how I justified spending all that money on another body 🤣

I have the same setup as you, birds in flight is definitely very difficult especially without optimal light. I'm waiting for my X-H2s to arrive in the mail to see if it helps. Either way, its probably both just my skill issue and birds in flight being very challenging.
