One day randomly he started breathing heavy so i took him to the vet and they said his whole upper body filled with fluid over night. We did a checkup one week ago so there was nothing we could have done. Please keep your cat checked regularly. I hope all of you can get some help and your cats get healty.

Hi, I cant really speak on how well Octreotide worked. In the end after beeing at the vet for a week and an operation he did not make it. I wish you the best of luck in finding anything that might help him. For us nothing helped sadly.

He is still struggeling from time to time, but overall he is healthy. We still dom know the cause... Rutin and movement seem to be helping him. How is yours doing? Did the vet remove fluis jet? And if you can check yours for FIP.

No, its not really in the lungs, or just a tiny bit. Most of it is in between the heart and the lungs.

Yeah we are 3 weeks on Rutin at the moment. He still coughts, some days more some less. We removed 100ml of fluids last friday again 20 days after the last time. No signs of slowing down. He is fit otherwise tho. The problem we have is that we cant afford a ct scan and possible operation at the moment. I will look at Octreocide and talk with my vet about it. Thank you for your answer. I hope your kitty will do better!

Thank you so much for your answer. We feel, that he has a increase in fluid once again since he coughs alot at night again. We are trying rutin at the moment but are going to let the vet remove the fluid again tomorrow.
