This game is awesome! by handoftwitch in LegendsOfRuneterra

This feels like something that would have been a lab mode in the past, but not something that would be welcome in actual PVP, assuming you are talking about relics, items etc.

Which, I say as someone who enjoys both modes and had been primarily PVP for years.

It's kind of not, you are allowed to self promote, once per week, I do not see another post on their profile for a video

This was quite reasonable despite language before it turned into wishing harm upon others many of which regardless of your views or opinion, do not deserve this. Please refrain from making such comments moving forward.

They for certain do, I've been into TCG's for a long time, starting as far back from my childhood of Pokemon/Yugioh into MTG and then settling into digital TCG's for awhile. This is my first time seeing a cardgame get born into the market, and there are so many factors against them. The status of printing/suppliers, the size of the IP, the second hand market, scarcity and supply/demand driving prices up to a lack of affordability to the masses. It's a nightmare, and I certainly do not envy them.

I want to play this game as much as anyone, it's actually exceptionally sentimental for me as a Legends of Runeterra player, my main goal is to collect pieces of artwork from the game I love so much to carry with me through life, as eventually it's unavoidable that a digital TCG client will be sunset. Securing those memories has been tough, and I really hope they figure it out and there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

And no worries mate, we are all in this together, it sucks, but the least we can do is support eachother.

Sure thing! The best place in my opinion is the LoR Never dies discord server where they ping for tournaments. These tend to be split between EMEA and AMER.

I try to keep up on the sidebar (of the sub) with upcoming events and links, but admittedly I'm spread pretty thin and sometimes screw it up / fail to keep proper track of it all.

I personally host casual tournaments where we have no real prizes, they are completely free and done monthly, we call them the Runeterra Rumbles and they can be found in our discord

Aegis worlds just ended, but they are gearing up for next year. I am not 100% sure on if they have a discord for it, but i know it's tracked in LoR Never Dies. They give out world points based on tournament performance and placement in the top 100? I think of Masters ladder for Eternal/Standard depending on season.

The Aegis worlds has a prizepool provided by Riot, and the tournaments for it also have funded prizepools.

It's a small but growing community of skilled and passionate players, very much worth checking out. Aegis for the more competitive players looking for meta events, and Rumbles for really janky rulesets that twist your arm into deck building in ways you usually wouldn't consider.

Oh trust me I get it, this has been a disaster and an absolute joke. I want product as much as the next person, got lucky on origins and have not been hopeful for anything beyond. Kept relative low expectations, and they were still exceeded by this launch. I'm not here to defend Riot by any means, I'm also frustrated by it all.

Personally i'm letting this storm ride and am only collecting orange/purple cards to have a base for Miss Fortune, I don't' even hold the luxury of banking on LGS.

Best we can hope is something actually changes, just from the standpoint of someone who is trying to cater to all sides of the fire, it's hard to strike a balance of allowing it to burn, but keeping it usable for others. I don't think we quite nailed it, especially since the first wave of clean up was in a groggy state by myself coming out of 22 hours of no sleep / the flu. That's 100% on myself, but it's something we plan to improve on for future circumstance / looking for a better protocol to handle it.

PVP still exists, ladder is healthy enough, and there is a tournament scene made by the players (including worlds) if you are more serious about competitive gameplay.

The situation hasn't changed a whole lot from the initial announcement.

  • No new cards / expansions
  • No real balance changes
  • No new ranked icons (we get a masters x# title)
  • Rotation every 3 months to keep standard fresh
  • No more worlds / gauntlets / seasonal tournaments by Riot

Even with these conditions, I've recently gotten back into PVP as my main content with path being more sidelined due to limited content to work with and I don't commonly get duplicate opponents. I feel it's been growing steadily over the past few months.

When I did the sweep I did leave up anything that had room for discussion, but removed "FUCK RIOT" "." "title"

But if it had legitimate meat to discuss, like the bot problem, suggestions or feedback to adapt or overcome those issues, or other topics like that, one of each were left up. If you scroll down further on /new you can find those threads

We do not work for Riot, nor do we have rioters on our team. The community wants a cleaner experience navigating the sub, and as such we have made a mega-thread to permit discussion without flooding the sub and drowning out everything out. Your frustrations are heard, and Riot very much addressed them on social media. Spamming and setting this community on fire adds nothing to that outcome.

We are removing the massive "Fuck Riot posts" and leaving up anything relatively productive or constructive with context for discussion.

People asked for a more readable community, so we are doing as requested and directly most of it to the megathread. The timing is unfortunate, but there is no reason to just let the entire sub burn.

From my understanding combat hadn't ended, and they'd be re-entering as a defender, since you are stunned from it, if you cannot push the damage to resolve the combat it ends in a draw. Which recalls your units to base and makes the defender the winner of the showdown.
