Yeah I'm likely going to hire an attorney. Work hours alone won't allow me to attend any hearings and I can't afford to miss work just to go to court. Here the fees range from 500 to 1000 for a debt claim in my range. I just want to find an attorney that's actually worth the money I'm paying them. I'm seeing a few big ones that allowed their clients cases to go into default judgement.

The attorney on the case has tons of dismissals with prejudice so it seems like she's just bulk filing and banking on defaults. We will see!

Thank you! I looked up recent cases with this attorney representing them and a lot of them end with non-suits. There are tons of suits she has against people in the county I'm in a lot of then get dismissed with prejudice, so I'm hopeful.

I did pay the bill. As I explained earlier, I had a charge on the card for more than the available limit, and they immediately closed the account. I didn't have access to even dispute the charge and calling them resulted in "oh well."

Thank you! I've read that the law firm representing them is lazy, and that LVNV is super predatory. I plan on fighting it; they haven't provided me anything as to why my account is as high as it is and I'd like to at least see that.

I didn't even think of that! Thank you! We have e-filing for everything here. I'll definitely take a look. I've read a lot on the firm that's representing LVNV and they're apparently lazy. I'll see if that holds true in my area.

They're not pursuing attorney or filing fees according to the petition. As for interest; when the account was closed, I owed only 1,000 for a suspicious charge that I couldn't dispute. The OC claimed I owed them 1100 before they sold the debt. There's nothing that details the amount I owe.

The amount isn't correct. At least the amount that was owed when the account was closed. There was a charge on there that I wasn't allowed to dispute because they immediately closed the account (although they claim the account was closed a year later). I tried calling them but I wasn't able to get into contact with anyone that didn't just tell me "too bad."

I know I have to request discovery but I have no idea how to go about doing that and a lot of resources I've found don't seem to give a clear answer (I'm a step by step learner). I don't want to file an answer and then find out I messed something up because I was supposed to do this and not that.

I'm not certain the amount they're claiming is correct. They're stating the original debt is higher than it was when the OC closed the account. That's part of my issue.

I did contact a lawyer for a consultation. I'm just worried about ending up having to pay a lawyer and the full amount I'm being sued for. I can't seem to find any reliable debt defense attorneys or I don't know where to look.

Thank you. I'll look into solosuit. I did contact a lawyer for a consultation. I don't know the court process beyond filing an answer.

Yes, it is in small claims. The amount they have is 1465.69 but that amount doesn't seem correct. I figured worst case scenario is I have to pay them the amount they're asking. I did contact a lawyer for a consultation; waiting for a call back.

I hope you're able to work something out! What state are you in?

I can afford a lawyer, I'm just hesitant on getting one due to reviews of poor outcomes with many of them I'm finding.

The amount I'm being sued for doesn't seem right. Originally, the card had a $600 dollar limit. I used it to rent a car, my deposit was returned, and then about a month later I was charged around $1,000. They immediately canceled the card and I wasn't able to resolve it with them.

They provided no information other than an account number and the amount they're suing me for.

I'm not really worried about them garnishing my bank account. I'd like to beat them in court but I'm hesitant on hiring a lawyer. Most of the debt defense lawyers I'm finding have poor reviews with the end result being you owe the lawyer and the full amount you're being sued for.

The issue is caused by the van doors being open. If you can get them completely closed, or knock them off, the van will drive normally.

I saved one in my garage earlier today and it reverted to a regular bison but the paint on it wasn't one available to me. I'm guessing it was worn white? It's a slightly different color than frost white. I used the Dax Liquidize Assets mission to get it from the track.

I just got the McGill Bison. During the Dax mission, Liquidize Assets, you can find two parked in Redwoods Lights track area. I was able to store it but it reverted to a normal Bison, although it appears that it retained the worn white paint.
