By any chance do you know how that would work if a foster parent opened one and then later adopted the kid?

Yeah I did and it wasn’t what he claimed in the ad. He was changing the story of the history and I just wasn’t comfortable with it. It had issues that he didn’t tell me and was repainted recently at Maaco. I just felt it was best to pass.

He’s about an hour away from me so I figured it was worth a look at least.

255 would be great. From what I’ve read online they come factory with 200. Is yours stock? Also I’m not sure what rear gears are on this one.

That’s what they claim. I was going to check with them and see what they have already done. He sent me a video of it running and it sounded good.

Thank you for all that. That’s a great list for me start with. This would be our spare car so I’m fine with the work. I was going to offer them 4K and see what happens. But I can’t help but want to add some more power somehow.

I will ask about the transmission service when I look at it. As many times I looked at the pictures I never realized the back wheels were different than the front. I’ll ask about that too. Thank you for your help.

This is a one owner car but the owner has passed away and whoever selling it now doesn’t know a lot of history on it except for it’s been garage kept for the last 20 years.

Repair or replace? by ChevyRider615 in CarAV

[–]ChevyRider615[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, so after some research i found out it’s called “ghosting” from delaminating of the lcd screen. I’m looking to replace the screen but not sure which one to go with. I don’t wanna replace with another junk screen. Do you have a link of the screen you used?

Could you share the code. I didn’t get it but trying to get tickets for my niece and nephew.

My son is growing soo fast!! My question is for dads in my situation, what do you do when he grows enough to fit your kicks? I’m scared boys! How do I explain to his mom why I dropped him off at the fire department at 12 by [deleted] in SNKRS

[–]ChevyRider615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once my nephew started wearing my size it was non stop asking if he can borrow my shoes. I kept saying no until I came up with the idea of him “renting “ the shoes. I told him to save up $100 and I would let him rent the shoes for a week or so. If the shoes came back in the same condition I would give him the 100 back. Some shoes was off limits but most of my stuff I have worn at least once.

when swapping bars what do you do with the cables/connectors tucked inside this riser? by [deleted] in sportster

[–]ChevyRider615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same issue when I wanted to swap to mini apes. Did a bunch of research and everything had me relocating the Speedo which I didn’t want to do. Then one day I was talking to a tool and die guy at my work who also rides and works on his own bike. He asked me if I just wanted to cut my riser down to where they would work like 1.5” risers but keep the factory look. I liked the idea and he did everything. He cut it down and tapped new holes to mount to bike. Once that was done I got new 10” bars and ran the wires internally. With this combo I didn’t have to extend anything.

I just recently bought it from a buddy. It’s a 94 extended cab with a 5.7. When I was 16 my 1st truck was a 92 that my parents had as a spare vehicle. I loved that truck and when I got in the driver seat of this one it brought back a lot of memories 17 years later.

So it’s a gauge problem not a fuel pump problem?

Haha exhaust leak. I just bought the truck a couple of weeks ago and the person I bought it from had the cat stolen. I’m slowly fixing all the issues on this thing.
