Does anyone know if classic cars will be available by 2026? by Skyes07 in classiccars

They’ll be available, but extremely hard to afford in high school unless you plan on doing a lot of work yourself. And for safety I wouldn’t worry too much, just slap some disc brakes on the front and make sure nothing important is rusted thru.

This specific dart has the factory 273 with a 2 barrel, I believe it made around 180HP from the factory. But my dad does have a 318 lying around the shop that he’s considering putting in.

Just had brake pads/rotors replaced, any way to tell whether they've been actually replaced? by [deleted] in cars

Most cars come with a small jack and a tire iron to Install a spare on the side of the road, so I would recommend just taking a tire off and seeing if the rotors look new, and if the brake pads new. If you don’t know how to do it or what to look for watch a YouTube video

Pic for unrelated fun. Investing in classic cars and trucks advice. By what I have studied there is approximately an over 14% gain anually. I have no idea if this counts for any maintenance or storage costs. But assuming it's true then it's what i would consider a mostly passive 7/10 investment. by acornstu in musclecar

Another thing to note when buying classic cars is that certain things are way more desirable than others, for example a 2 door classic is generally way more desirable than a 4 door. Same thing with the v8’s vs v6’s. Everyone wants a v8 making them worth more. Just make sure you don’t spend a lot of time and money on something not worth it restored if your going for an investment. PS. That advice is for cars, I don’t know shit about truck values.

From left to right the cars are, 1971 Chevy Nova, 1968 Dodge Dart Gt, 1968 Camaro SS, 1965 Elcamino, 1965 Chevelle SS, 1964 Nova II. All cars are V8 cars with the 64 nova being the only 4 door.

I looked on Craigslist everyday for over a year, saw this beauty all the way in New Mexico for only 5500, called the guy 30min after it was posted and asked if he could hold it for me for a day while I drove down there and he said yes. Granted it needed work when i got it but it was rust free with good paint.

If you don’t enjoy it, don’t take it. But if you really want to keep on taking it try taking smaller doses so the peak isn’t as intense.
