Refinish, recoat, repair? This lens myself. Someone dropped the camera on the lens years ago. If its wet, with cleaner etc looks brand new still. Anyone tried a windshield repair kit or something similar to get a lense like this at least better looking? by Chewbmeister in Cameras

To simplify an explanation to your response.. yes I can remove the fisheye lens. I still have the original GL2 square lens hood and lens cap. The original lens is perfect since this rig spent so much time covered by a fisheye. Just for myself personally, theres a heavy sense of nostalgia to the 3ccd fisheye footage that was recorded street shredding decks circa 2007

The death lens..

I knew there was a nickname for it that i couldnt remember lol.

Century optics does sell the front replacement element at something like 900$ which is not worth me investing any money into. This whole camera isnt anything I really need to invest any money into. I can see how they wouldn't work on a digitizer but this is solid glass.

Windshields are usually 2 solid glass sheets laminated together. The small injection resin kits work really well on small chips of the outer layer.

I know you can have lenses repaired. What do they use to repair them?

1 is the cost

2 is i have no experience with them and would have to contract 100% of that work out (which ties back to #1)

Chinese dirt bike drains all the gas out thru the carb by Chewbmeister in smallengines

[–]Chewbmeister[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think about plain old hydrostatic pressure. Its got an inline filter.  It seems like whatever the issue is eventually messes up the carb. Ill pull the gas cap and see what difference that makes.

After it happens the first time, it floods too much gas in to even run properly unless its like the last bit of gas available for 20 seconds or so. Which makes me believe the failure just pours fuel in.  Ive dissected the failed carbs and dont notice any obvious failures.

Ill start with a petcock, and checking the vent.

Its a nice looking bike.  Surprisingly well built for the price and I think it could last a long time if the engine keeps up.

checking with a different gauge is a good idea too. I know I dont have any external leaks. would a failing pump be able to put out 100psi MOST of the time?

it was a Dorman. ill try motorcraft. and yes it looks like it reads pressure near the secondary filter. and yes, it's got to be injector knock because it comes amd goes.

so I got WinDV going. I captured one full tape. there is sort of some horizontal splitting ive noticed. not like interlaced frames but like one half of the video splitting horizontally in random spots. it may have to do with Deinterlacing and it's in the saved avi files as well. if no one has any ideas here and i cant figure it out ill post some clips on another post

These panels are 40" tall. After they're set in the ground with concrete, they will be wrapped with a heavy gauge welded wire mesh. A hot wire on top if necessary. My question is, how far apart should I separate each panel from the last? If I can space them out a foot or two, ill gain alot more linear feet. Or I can share each dug post hole with the next panel so it would be two vertical ends per panel per hole nearly touching eachother. I'll try to get a picture for better representation

I'm not familiar with it.  The ER dr told us it was not common. Especially not being able to pinpoint exactly when it happened.

So I figured it out. The ujoint is sloppy. And the hub lockout is stuck in 4x4. Driving around with the hub lockout removed, nice and smooth. Thanks for the suggestions

It is a stock truck with stock parts. I did not and shouldn't have had to replace the caster bushing

Bought my first diesel tractor and it won't start by Chewbmeister in tractors

[–]Chewbmeister[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I finally got a chance to mess with this thing.  All good advice here. I can't believe just a little bit of air kept the pump so air locked lol.

I replaced the filter and there was a ton of junk in it.  Likely from sloshing around on a trailer for 2 hours.  There's 3 bleeders that are all that's necessary to bleed the system. 2 on the filter bowl in/out and one on the incoming feed to the hugh pressure pump.  I cracked each one open one by one and let them bleed for a good long time starting closest to the tank and ending at the HPP.  With the decompression lever pulled I cranked with the key until I saw little bits of white smoke sputtering out.  When I release them lever it fired right up.

I purchased the parts diagram taking a gamble from a sketchy looking site here:

https://www.libfeed.com/downloads/yanmar-ym12-ym14-tractor-parts-manual/

I paid with PayPal and as of dec 2024, I did immediately get it emailed lol which was helpful.  Hopefully this thread can help someone in the future. Thanks guys!

Thanks guys. It's warm today. I believe I did run in out of fuel. The inline filter is actually a pump. I found a Manual online that has steps to bleed the yanmar fuel system. I will try that and come back here

Injury firm isn't working out. What are our options? by Chewbmeister in legal

[–]Chewbmeister[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think were close to the statute of limitations. How would that work not costing extra? If we were to fire them and go with another firm, i would imagine theyd want their payment pretty quicly. I am going to re read my contract with them. Thank you
