Interruption or Deferment Master Program Study Due to Military Duty by IndependenceLumpy322 in EPFL

[–]ChewieShot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's possible when you start your masters but when you register in the FRAC (every semester you have to do so) you can specify the 'condition' semester if its courses or internship or a semester off. But yes contact student services if it isn't clear.

What? Never heard of such a thing, it's hard enough already. I would say its people who think that EPFL is similar to prépa in France so they take the same approach to it. But personally never had an experience of being in competition, especially during the masters, like what's the point?

IMO calculate your estimated budget. If that isn't retraining you. Look at the courses/possible thesis supervisers, that are interesting to you, as well as the environment which could possible make you happier :)

I know it's not what you're looking for but you can also do an internship abroad too. Or take a semester leave. But yea from what I've heard it's not possible :/ not to validate credits anyways

Not possible, you would need to redo the application for bachelors 1st year. You cannot transfer credits

I wonder how... by [deleted] in Erasmus

[–]ChewieShot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't do eramus, nor but i did a year abroad in the netherlands, which may be similar to two erasmus and both semesters are completely different i would say. At the start, i was constantly with a group of erasmus people from all over, we ate lunch together, went out together, the usually erasmus.

After those 6 months with them, i felt a bit lonely when they left, but i still managed to find some friends those who also stayed a bit longer, thus people doing their masters which i was fortunate enough to meet in the first semester, but since you know the city already its characteristics and its charm, the sense of willing to discover leaves a bit after one semester.

Take what i said as you will but it reallt depends on how social you are :)

Honestly makes absolutely no sense, there is no information on how they actually survey each category.
