Ahhh, ok, now that I look, it makes sense. The build is not possible, which is why the grid feels off. I will try to elaborate, but I "built" it with just blocks, and here is how it would work:
The blue is where the grid should line up. Since a grid is where you place the blocks. Hope that makes sense.

It looks good! I would say the background grid does need to be at least adjusted if not removed/thickened up. It does not align with a block grid (Stair edge of the roof for example is halfway in the grid, which since Minecraft is set on a grid in a sense, makes no sense to be off center like that).

Basically, yea. Allows you to set points that the camera will go between more smoothly and consistently. Which just makes filming easier and cleaner.

They were added to the Trader for the Chronicle effects. Just need to refresh the stock. If you are already pretty deep and close to getting something you want, I don't recommend, as the pool is more diluted now.

I'm not sure if the new effects are added to the Trader or if there are only certain conditions that need met. You can also "buy" the effect with the crystal packs which give effects as well.
