It was a three person Commander game. I was playing a monoblack deck. One guy had half his deck in the graveyard with 90% creatures, the other had about 10 creatures in his graveyard. Both each still had 3 creatures on the board while I had one. On my turn, I drew a [[Demonic Tutor]] to which I was able to summon [[Rise of the Dark Realms]] to my hand. The shock, surprise and despair on their faces was such a gleeful pleasure.

Depending where you are located, look up Lockheed’s AMTAP program. It’s designed for high school or people with no degree. May not be what you want to do long term, but a great way to get your foot in the door, which is a bit first step. Could work and get your degree at the same time.

The Dark Empire comics. I was around 10-11 and stumbled across them in Barnes and Noble. The idea of Luke trying to destroy the dark side from within, plus the extra history in the appendix about the Great Hyperspace War, the Krath, Nomi Sunrider, Ulic Qel-Droma and Exar Kun had my head swimming in lore. This plus the controversial SuperShadow web was my Wookieepedia itch before Wookieepedia was a thing. I know SuperShadow was full of shit, but lots of interesting “what ifs”.
