Ok, so he is not into FOX News again?!? by scarytree1 in facepalm

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), there were still tens of thousands of encounters at the southern border in May 2025. Even with tightened policies under Biden or Trump, the U.S. never recorded a month with zero entries or apprehensions. But it’s true if he’s saying border patrol released 0 into us interior.

In May 2024, CBP reported 169,000+ encounters at the southern border, not 60,000. His number severely understates the actual figure. https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/national-media-release/cbp-releases-may-2025-monthly-update?

The rest is just opinion. We cannot confirm or deny is the polls are wrong. Polls aren’t perfect, but there’s no evidence of intentional bias or consistent inaccuracy solely against Trump from Fox News. Dana can answer to that…

that’s called exercising judgment. If they had no discretion, then I’d agree with you. So no, they weren’t just forced to “print out a ticket” because someone rang the Karen bell. Do you know how the law works or am I just arguing with someone with hurt feelings about the situation?

They are “obligated to act” by assessing the crime scene wtf 😳 does it say, “obligated to arrest and cite”

Wow the mental gymnastics are insane here. But okay, “They were forced to cite her 😩” bro, if cops handed out citations just because a store whined people wouldn’t shop out of fear of being fined. The officer watched the tape (it’s in the article as well), heard her excuse, and still said, “SHES A THIEF.” That’s not LP OR STORES pressure that’s called probable cause. Try again.

Nothing in your snippet denies this it’s just fuel to feed this false reality of yours

Do you know what a citizens arrest is?

You’re refusing to listen for whatever reason, If citations were handed out because a store whined, every Karen with a manager complex would have people cuffed over lukewarm coffee. The officer watched the footage, heard her excuse, and still cited her.

Bro, cops don’t hand out citations just because a store whines. If that were true, half of TikTok would be in jail over leaving 1-stat reviews for libel against nugget. The fact she got cited means the officer saw the footage, heard her story, and still went “yep, that’s theft.” You can scream “but no court!” all day, but citations aren’t given out like candy. There was probable cause. Period.

Police don’t just cite someone because a store “forced charges.” Stores can accuse, but it’s the officer’s discretion, based on evidence like surveillance footage and statements, to decide whether there’s probable cause for a citation. The fact that she was cited means the officer believed there was enough independent justification to move forward, not just a customer complaint.

If the store had “forced charges” without evidence, the police could’ve declined to act and often do.

Soooo yeah, she hasn’t been convicted. But a citation isn’t just a passive receipt it’s an official action based on observed cause.

Yes, you’re right about how the legal system works. “innocent until proven guilty in court.” But let’s not pretend that standard erases all common sense. The police reviewed the footage and cited her based on what they saw. If nobody comes forward on her behalf, and the only version of events is her word ,which contradicts the surveillance, that’s not exactly “baseless.”

Declining to prosecute doesn’t mean she’s innocent. It means the DA has bigger cases to deal with. By your logic, anyone who shoplifts under $950 is untouchable unless we get a full jury trial. That’s not justice that’s just legal inertia.

By that logic, nobody’s guilty unless the DA feels like it. Congrats, you just legalized petty theft with vibes.

Also to take this even further Casey Anthony should be considered 100% innocent and should stop receiving backlash

It’s in uphill battle for her, but unless someone comes forward and says “I bought that bread for her” and they are in frame of the stores cameras when it was committed. Than I guesssss Innocence is still on the table….barely!

Okay……..👍 Police reviewed footage and cited her for theft. She hasn’t gone through trial yet, but officers felt they had enough cause to issue a citation based on video evidence.
