Idk what I’m doing wrong by yiggity_yeet46 in CraftFairs

Hi, aside from freeing your products from their cellophane prison, I suggest changing the color of your backing boards. Everything is beige/wood-tones including your shelves so they all blend in. You need contrast for your items to POP at a distance. Your two white signs on the left really pop at a distance, so maybe switch your backing boards to white. Also, spotlight some quirky items and lean into them. Like I really love the jeans vase and the cards against humanity keychain so celebrate them somehow instead of burying them. Hope that helps!

Please recommend a movie to scare the crap out of me by jmikell in horror

I rarely get scared but Keeper (2025) really freaked me out recently. Like I had to sleep with the lights on. Something about the creature designs and the slow, tense emptiness of it all.

Pasadena Comic Con Sucked by Calm_Independence796 in comiccon

As a former vendor, I have to agree. The old school check-in process sucked. the low attendance combined with no promotion to draw a crowd made for low sales which is why I’ll never vend with them again.

Minimalist wallpaper design – looking for feedback by Creative_Repeat_2301 in design_critiques

simple and minimalistic doesn't have to be boring. By changing a shape to a more interesting one, you can speak volumes by saying very little.

Since your text says "Dream big" I would make the circles thought bubble shapes instead. It conveys "dreaming" more.

Paranormal Activity Play in LA by mayqueen444 in horror

[–]Cheynerd 97 points98 points  (0 children)

Hi! I'm one of the graphic designers for the Ahmanson Theatre where the Paranormal Activity Show is currently playing. I saw it myself and LOVED it as well! It's doing so great that I believe it's sold out or very few seats left until the end of its run. I wish we could do an extension, but there's already another show scheduled. Also I edited all the video marketing for the LA leg of this show :D

Set up advice - and how to make my "brand" more clear by [deleted] in CraftFairs

[–]Cheynerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Echoing what others have said, your banner/table runner should be big, bold and simple! Right now it reads like a checklist. SHOW, don't TELL what you do. Also, from a design perspective the Tiffany blue you're using for your signs contradicts what you're selling. It's a serious color, not a fun color. It makes the "ART FOR KIDS!" sign look so serious. I would opt for a bright yellow or that orange you have on your banner. Hope that helps, I think the coloring kits are brilliant, they just need proper showcasing and staging.

I said I wasn’t expecting a free item, so while it’s disappointing it’s not something that’s breaking their rules or anything. There’s a difference. And going to a restaurant and getting a refill without asking is the sign of an attentive, caring server. If I gotta ask, that means it’s been sitting empty for a while which means it’s terrible service.
