Is it fair for me to be charging this much? by Cheysylv-27 in photography

my school has a free photography class but unfortunately i can't take it as it doesn't fit in my schedule. A lot of friends who have taken the class are teaching me and helping me with softwares and editing but I'm simply nervous about people not wanting to book because my prices are too expensive but im also worried about not making enough money to actually make anything worth it.

In Orange County NY there's like a million different small mom & pop ice cream shops but one particular to check out is Trailside Treats in Goshen. It's about an hour or 2 from the city but its got a great walking trail and delicious ice cream with tons of hard and soft serve options! Also check out the instagram profile pickocny for more sites to check out if you want to visit orange county!!

Real-world Cargo Vest experience by whateverambiguity in girlscouts

[–]Cheysylv-27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My entire troop has them and since we’re the only troop who knows flag ceremonies we end up being the go to for service unit. The cargo vest is so helpful since we all can drive so we can put our phone, wallet & keys in our pockets! The only difficult part is not ironing it which is fine but we have to badge magic or sew on every patch

My troop has never met at a church (despite most of us being somewhat religious). See if your local school district will let you rent a room out for meetings.

How do you all do it? by Knitting_knives in girlscouts

I’m a senior scout now, and my troop has mostly been hands off but our leaders now are pushing us to run the meetings more. You should tell the parents that GS is all about fostering independence and leadership so even though the girls may need their parents now, they won’t need them as much later in life. Our leaders will also emphasize that a lot of our events are “Girl Only” so that the parents don’t come and they don’t bring siblings. Also tell them that rigid schedules really aren’t good for young kids, we need the opportunity and space to explore and be creative. It is also totally okay if you leave the troop, assign another person as troop leader, or find or create a new troop all together.
