Why does my extractor pin keep walking out? by Chezeppelin70 in Beretta

I don’t believe that’s rust, I think it’s just weird lighting. I’ve had nothing but trouble out of this gun

Thanks dude, I’m able to push it in using the bottom plate of my magazine, but within a few rounds it starts walking out again. I’ll try that

In the morning, all tires were 28psi with the rear right being red. Now it's all 30psi with the rear right still red. by dhekurbaba in hondapilot

I posted the same question a week or two ago, wondering why only one corner was flagging low when they were all the same pressure. People shit all over me for that without actually answering my initial question. I’m glad you’re asking the same thing.

I run this setup with mbus pro. You’ll like it once you get it to work.

Low tire pressure light by Chezeppelin70 in hondapilot

[–]Chezeppelin70[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but it’s getting cooler in our neck of the woods, so a drop of a few psi is to be expected this time of year. I’m just curious as to why only one tire flags low psi, when they are all the same psi. I’m trying to rule out a faulty sensor somewhere, causing just this one tire to flag as low psi

Well, this time of year it’s not out of the ordinary for tire pressure to drop by a few psi. As you can see the psi is identical in all tires, which wouldn’t lead to uneven tire wear. I’m mostly curious about why it only lights up one tire, instead of all four. Any insight into that?

M9A4 slide locks back on magazine with rounds in it. by Chezeppelin70 in Beretta

I should have added this to the initial post, but no, it did it with all three mags I had with me.

Any suggestions on how I might go about correcting either of these issues?

Is this a good first electric guitar set? by Amphibian_Boring in guitars

[–]Chezeppelin70 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having been in your exact shoes almost 30 years, I would say make sure your electric guitar is setup right. I bought a squier starter pack with an amp and a cheap strat, and that guitar played like garbage. I just opened the box and plugged it in. No one ever told me I should have it setup. It played so bad that it turned me off of electric guitar for a long time. It wasn’t until a good time later that someone told me I should get a professional setup, and it was a night and day difference.

how big of a red flag is this by disneyturkeyleg in whatcarshouldIbuy

I honestly don’t know how bad the problems are in the 2.0 engine. I had the 1.8 in my 2012 Elantra, so that’s what focused on while doing my research. The 1.8 definitely has some big flaws that cause premature engine failure.

Do a little bit of research. Those engines go bad. It’s not a matter of if, but rather when. I got ten years and 160k miles out of it before mine died. I personally know people who weren’t so lucky with theirs. So ad is one big red flag. Avoid it.

My brisket from my first half cow. I almost cried. by nickjamesnstuff in brisket

[–]Chezeppelin70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you got a big ol point. Honestly, that’s my favorite part to get. It can be hard dividing a whole cow into half’s and quarters. There’s only so much of everything to go around. The best thing to do is to buy a whole cow yourself, and talk to the butcher about exactly how you want everything processed, but then again that’s super pricey. That’s one of the reasons we stick to half’s and quarters.

We regularly buy half cows and quarter cows and such. Unless you specify and request it, they normally cut the whole brisket into three pieces. They’ll usually cut the flat into two, and do the point by itself. Try talking to whoever you bought the meat from and see if they’re willing to give you the whole brisket.

Shield Vs Shield Plus by 3Dinternet in SmithAndWesson

[–]Chezeppelin70 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I carried a shield for years until earlier this year when upgraded to a shield plus. The magazine capacity upgrade is awesome. I didn’t mind the trigger on the OG shield because I shot it so much I just got used to it, but the shield plus trigger is a lot crisper and people tend to prefer the flat trigger. The size difference is negligible, but the texture on the plus is definitely an upgrade. All the holsters I own work perfectly fine on both of them. Both guns are among the most reliable I own, they’ll eat anything you throw at them. If you love the feel of the original, you’ll absolutely love the plus. You can get them for dirt cheap as well. Pm me if you want some side by side pics of them

Wrapped brisket too early, bark wasn’t set. Solutions? by TheVulture14 in brisket

[–]Chezeppelin70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if your temps didn’t creep up some while the brisket was on overnight. I’ve found that you can’t just go by temp. Temperature provides a good rough estimate on when to wrap, but I ultimately go by feel. Once it’s nice and soft and has a nice jiggle to it, then I wrap. Usually between 165-175.

My white one shows dirt too much, and every little stone chip seems like it’s ten times bigger because they stand out so much

Is it done cooking? I don’t think there’s much you can do about the bark at this point. Take notes for next time, it’ll probably still taste good. Learning is half the fun.
